Pulley and brake in.

Hey everyone, just have a quick question that I couldn't find an answer for. My MCS is due to arrive in about 3 weeks. I've been collecting things to install on it ASAP (Wheels, exhaust, etc.) My thought on the pulley is that I should probably wait until after the break in period is finished up before installing one. I'm looking at a 15% reduction from Webb. Does it matter if I put it on before the break in is done?

Thanks in advance.

PS. oops... it's suppose to be break in.

Many people have modded it right out of the box. Actually, that's what the JCW kit did when it was a dealer installed option. But I personally felt that it was more safe to wait a few thousand miles before I had someone other than my MINI dealer work on it.

Just consider if you put it on before break-in is complete you will have to drive the car through break-in just as a car w/o the pulley.

I popped on a pulley @ 2500miles and it added a good punch to the car. Either way its a worth while upgrade if the person working on your (dealer for some) isn't bothered by it.

There were about 1300 miles on my new '06 when the pulley was installed. No problems to report.

I waited until I had done 7,000 miles. I just felt better knowing the supercharger had some miles on it before I started to spin it faster. 15% pulley for me.
