Sorry, I realize I'm a bit handicapped. I went to engineering school and got confused with facts . Also, that was over 30 years ago, so I'm certain the rules of physics have changed since then as well . But wait, they were using superchargers in cars 40 years before that and.....

I'm sooooo confused!

There are some parts that have nothing to do with the kit that are holding things up

Mine has over 15K mi with no mechanical issues..... car runs strong and is very fun to drive..... the main thing I like is the power is very linear and modulates perfectly IMO....no peaks and spikes etc that make for surprises at the wrong time...... couple the kit with Juston's header and a head of your choice and I think you will have fun... and lots of grins

That was my car. I work overseas so I wasn't there with it, but the car will be headed back to my home a few days from now. I'll be taking it to MOTD in a couple of weeks, where anybody that wants can have a look and maybe get a ride. DDM hopes to have nearly all of the beta cars there for people to look at over the course of the weekend. Stop by their booth if you are interested in the details.

Too bad you werent there to drive it!

but your "stand in" did a great job. But for those of you thinking there's lots to look at, a lot of the stuff is hidden. So make sure you go for the ride. This isn't bling... it just make the car go a lot faster.

Yea, Matt's a good shoe. The stealthiness is what I prefer about it.

As nice as it is I just can't see the cost justification and unless it will put out 250whp like a twin charge (and from what i have seen it won't). I don't see it being worth it

If I'm home I'll try. You're always welcome to swing through Indy to have a look.

Don't know since I haven't seen it yet myself. Better to call Dave at DDMWorks: http://www.ddmworks.com/Miatastore/i...contact_us.htm

I imagine when putz bumped the thread, that he was inquiring about updates for when a kit will be released...

To each his own. I've seen tons of mods that I personally didn't think were worth what they cost (Palo Uber titanium pulley comes to mind), but people can spend their own money as they wish. Not sure why you'd want to bag on it when it's still being developed and it's not your money being spent?

My reason's are pretty simple.

1. It doesn't make that much power for the cost of it. From my research a m62 is around 2500 to 2800 dollars, Then you need to figure in your R&D and then the Software ???, and injectors $300 + to run it. A pulley, and Brackets, a Waterpump. This gets very expensive and you have not even installed it yet.....

But I can well imagine if it pumps out the Torque it would be hella fun to drive but never cost effective.

In my opinion it might be better to add a LSD and change the transmission gearing. Wo needs to go over 140 anyway.
