Drivetrain 62 kit on its way to M7 ... Yes it is happening

[QUOTE=Bahamabart;1573941]How to respond ......lets see ........ well, this sums it nicely
I have to get to a meeting but have to respond...... that is great but all this costs money and I for one don't want to "pay" John to prove "his" point... my best guess is that the car right now is putting out about 240 whp with about 200 ft lb... it is fun to drive.... I like it... I will check the A/F to make sure we are safe and then drive it.... It is already a lot faster than I can drive (I'm no Don).... So what started out as a "lark" statement from me about gaurantees... is now being taken seriously and growing a life of its own...... My car has been tuned by 5 "experts" and I can say this that proper tuning is time consuming and therefore expensive..... and I am not in the mood to put out the cost of the trip and the tune...... if "you all" want to "help" defray the cost under the banner of research as to the potential of a SC'd Mini (Rotrex (sp?) not withstanding) or some other such BS that helps you to contribute... I am game.....

spider, u should visit john and see... [\quote]
How to: Drive to Orlando, take auto train to DC and then drive to LDG. Take your lady friend for there is nothing like a over night train ride .
On another note - now after having spent how much on your car your seeking guarantees . Will it be magical 300 hp number ? Don't know but what I do know is that John will get you the most that can be had out of that car.
For the good of the M62 project, you must go and let John force as much HP/TQ upon you as humanly possible.
This would conclude the M62 project and only after this can we fairly judge the M62 project.

This goes to the question of how the other M62s are doing.
MNIBLU is doing great. We were up at the dragon and a blast, even in the rain. For the weekend driving I am doing with the car it is a bigger blast to drive than before. I am totally happy with the car. I am looking to do other mods but due to other situations MB wont be getting any upgrades anytime soon.
Thanks all..

Hey Bob, I love a good challenge. You get the car to me and Ill tune it for FREE just to prove a point. The M62 car that I dynoed at the Dragon only made 180whp and 160lbft. It didn't have any other necessary mods but it did have safe afrs. If the M62 is a s efficient as I think it is 300 is doable. If you're interested, PM me for details.

At the end of day it doesn't matter what it makes - just that we understand what a M62 CAN MAKE. I'm guessing other engine developments might/will make more power than the M62 but I'm betting that the M62 might just be the best daily driver.
