DEAD MINI with a p1237 code

hey all, been away awhile. i am in the middle of changing from a twin charge to a turbo only setup. with the supercharger removed and only the turbo in the loop my mini is dead. i was in the middle of relocating the map sensor and the brake boost lines when all the grief began. as expected the car would run rough without the map sensor, but would run. once i mounted the map sensor before the turbo the car will not start. i have spark but obviously no fuel. will the car run with a bad tmap sensor? or am i looking at a different issue. any sugestions would be great.

I suggest contacting Fireballed. Good luck.

Mine is plumbed in before the turbo and I dont have that issue. I do have a p1242 though. Did you have the p1242 when twincharged? You might need to get a new map sensor or borrow one to see. How did you have it plumbed when u were twincharged?

Per the Bentley Manual
17645 P1237 035
Cylinder 1 injector - N30
open circuit

Check for a bad connection or a wiring problem.

Hope you get it sorted out

i ordered a new tmap sensor, i had a new map sensor. should be here any day. as for the twin charge i ran it for a couple of days and was not impressed. too much boost for the little amount of gain. my car is modded very heavy to begin with. sorry i have'nt been staying in touch on this issue, my job keeps me traveling alot. i did'nt move the map sensor until i made the super charger bypass. i am hopeing the tmap sensor which is mounted on the intake has went bad. otherwise i would have to believe there is a bad wire somewhere and that will make me sad.

cheers,

Based on the code you posted your problem has absolutly nothing to do with the MAP sensor. Check your fuel injector connections... one of the injectors may be faulty.

interesting, the software i use for reading the ecu is telling me that i have a injector #1 issue, the bently manual says it is a map low voltage alarm. i will look at the injector wiring as this makes much more sense than a map sensor failing right at this time. thanks rusty you are being logical!!!!

cheers,
