Wheel size impact on range

My Signature model with the 16" wheels went over 140 miles in my range test with city driving. Now I'm starting to see why.

Mini also has a 15" wheel that will probably clear the tiny brakes on the SE. It is 15x5.5 so it is the same width wheel as the BMW i3s (same motor) and weighs around 15 lbs. I bet it even helps 0-60 too because of the lower weight.

Oh, my 0-60 tests in sport mode with traction control off are usually in the low 6 second range and I did manage a high 5 second pass once too.

Smaller wheels for the win!

On the GP3 we downgrade to 17 he explains why.

I’m curious, did you ever see if those 15s clear the SE brakes? I haven’t been able to find any dimensions to say whether they will or won’t fit the smaller wheel.
