Both my son and I run the o2 sim ...
We run "test pipes" when at the track..

Mine has been in for 2 years.

If i am at the track I have never got any codes. If I happen to not put the cat back on, and drive very "calmly" on the treet i still sometimes get the code for "cat below threshold"

My son threw a code only twice right after install then none

Instructions with the unit and on line are good

so i need something to get through untile i can replace it!!
i need all the readyness codes on the ecu to be there and no emission related codes. such as the cat ineff code p420 that i was getting. so i'm in a bind. my reg was due the 16th of the month. i can't throw a code period!!

I run a now MIDIFIED MM header (with flanges to bolt / un bolt) the test pipe, High performance CAT that came with the cat, OR the OEM CAT
So 3 options for me.
I went through 2 cats from MM and that WAS a mess !

Y son is OBX with a flange for test pipe or OEM cat.

I have a OEM header and am sure that you may even be able to borrow one
You can use mine but you would need to pay shopping to an BACK to me.

I am in CAL, and know that if you PAY and submit the paperwork you do have a grace period and wont get tags untill you are smoged ...

No problems with mine John and I have been running for a year and a half. Yes you can keep the o2 in. I have mine in and no issues with or with/out my cat but I can honestly say the turbo spools much better without the cat and that is a highflow 300 cell metallic race cat.

Do you guys have a sniffer test ???
A probe on the tailpipe ?

If so a NO CAT (maybe a HP CAT), even with a SIM would NOT pass

I don't think they do sniffer tests unless you have a car pre OBD. This is causing a headache for a fellow Insight owner who has a failing cat and they failed him on the spot due to the code even though that car could pass with open headers.

AZ doesn't do a tail pipe test for OBDII or visual. just plug in and check emission related codes and see if readyness codes are there.

Has anyone tried using a o2 sensor spacer to keep the secondary sensor from throwing codes???

I have to get my car inspected this weekend and I have no cats, but it is a hassle because I live/work/go to school in VA but technically still reside in NJ.

I'm running an OBX header and stock cat but the post cat sensor bung was damaged and not replaced. The car is lagging at top end, would an o2 sim improve this?

Is the o2 sensor in the exhaust? do you have a cel light on? If so then it might fix it NOT saying it will.
