OEM Fog Light Query

Im used to *** cars. Then I had no car for a year. Now I have a Mini. Its the coolest thing I've ever owned but somethings baffle me. A big for instance here would be why the High Beams have to be on for the fog lights to opperate. Shooting high beams into fog DOESNT HELP! Anyway, if anyone has figured a way to say, have the fog lights only work when the low beams are on, like most cars, please share your secret. many thanks.

Um, if that's your pic, those are not FOG lights, they're DRIVING lights mounted above the bumper. Designed to be used in the dark of night with nobody else around.
The FOG lights (if so equipped) are mounted low on the sides, below the parking lights. If not, you'll be missing a toggle switch, and there will be blanking plates where the fogs would otherwise be.

Welcome! Nice looking car. Dont worry about the question. The lights are wired that way so you dont blind the oncoming drivers. The above-forementioned fog lights that are in the lower corners of your bumper will only work with your low beams. The driving lights that are on your bumper will only work with the high beams. It would be cool to see them all on, but alas, unless you want to go re-working all your wiring, it wont happen!
Post some more pics in your gallery, wanna see more of your sweet ride!

There, now it is forever enshrined, in case you edit your original post to make it look like you never asked the question.
We're cruel, but we're fun.
Many things to learn on NAM! Welcome, and enjoy the MINI!
