Wire iPod to Stock Radio in 05 MCS?

I really wanna wire my i pod to my radio so i went to CarToys yesterday and they told me i have to buy a new deck. i like my stock deck though it blends in much better than those japanese silver decks with tons of little blue lights falshing everywhere.

So is there any way to wire my iPod to the stock radio?

Thanks

Several Options - Depends on what you want to do.

I bought MINI Aux input and Craven mount. I can play my Ipod through my deck ('03) but have to use the Ipod controls to change songs.

You can also buy either the MINI Ipod adaptor or several of other aftermarket units, Dennison ICE-Link comes to mind, which will allow you to use your MFSW controls to changes songs and such but unless you have a newer deck that displays ID Tags you'll not see your songs on your deck. You can always find and swap out a newer head unit to see your tags too.

^ what he said. I use the Aux input as well. Available from any MINI dealer, and cheaper (20% discount) from Classic MINI in Ohio.

The DICE-link is probably the most seamless integrated solution. You can wire it to your glovebox and leave the iPod inside and never have to touch it. It also shows song titles on the head unit, and you can choose to control the iPod through the stereo or through the iPod itself.

The OEM MINI adapter is similar, except you don't get the song titles/etc through the head unit, and you cannot use the iPod to control itself - it has to be controlled through the stereo.

The aux input is the cheapest way, but you cannot control it via the stereo at all, so it is not as integrated/seamless of a solution. Depends on what you want and how you want ot control it.

But what about those of us not using ipod's (all three of us), looks like we are stuck with the aux adapter.
