Another rear fog light question.

I have an 05s with a build date of 7/04. Can someone tell me if the rear fogs are built into the tail lights or if i'm pre-wired for rear fogs? Also, how do you determine if the rear fogs are built into the rear tail lights?

In an '05, the rear fog is in the center of the rear bumper (where the backup light was in 02-04). Unfortunately your 7/04 build is not prewired for the rear fog. The early months of the '05 model (7/04 to 11/04) were not prewired, but they came prewired after that.

You would have to run a new harness from the BC1 computer (front passenger footwell) to the rear fog. Instructions are here: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...t_Retrofit.pdf

These two kits in combination will do the job:

With some more work it is also possible to make it operate as both an extra brake AND backup light: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...ad.php?t=58191

I installed the single clear lamp near exhaust and did the Minispeed wiring kit on my GP, but instead of fogs I hooked it up to reverse lights. If you have the lower lamp you can mod yourself, I can send you their instruction by mail? All you need is 10mm wrench, wire splicers, and electricle tape or shrink wrap.
