Electrical Front fog lamp bulbs
#326
There were several!
Does that make it more simple for you to understand?
Granted, my rant about poorly referenced lighting nomenclature, even in the Owners Manual is a personal thing. I have been messing around with electrical construction and design for aerospace and residential/commercial construction for over 40 years. Take for instance a SPDT switch in electronics, is called a "3 way switch" in building construction and there is no 3rd position, like a center off.....
. There is a fellow in some Posts back asked about Yellow Film over the lenses on the parking/fog lamp assembly. Has anyone done that??
they are called "Parking Lamps" by the factory. Does anyone really turn them while they are parked???!
Ronin82, keep us Posted as to the HID Fog install. Yellows???

I was just kidding with you haha
I have indeed seen people on here with the yellow laminex film which looks very good in my opinion. And I have always been confused with everyone calling the parking lights something different such as city lights and driving lights. I do that myself as well. I'll see if I can find a picture with the yellow film. I think it looks nice

A photo of the film, or at least the the logo on name so I could contact them to find out how they contoured the film over that really convex surface!
I have the same film (check out "Garage") over my Hella 500 Fogs to make them yellow and it is very nice in foul weather and in broad daylight they throw a bright beam. I use them to keep people from pulling out in front of me if I am really moving through heavily wooded and someone thinks they need to pull into the roadway casually; it really gets their attention!

Nokya Fog Lamps
Here is what the Nokya Hyper Yellow fog lamps (H-8) and the Nokya Yellow parking lamps (194) look like after the first test. I have also compared them to the Hella 500 Fog Lamps w/yellow LaminX Shieldz by Hella. When I get better photos of the lamps on the road I will Post in my web page 2 Posts up.

When I replace the intercooler, with a Helix stepped IC, I will have the front bumper cover off. I will try to mold the LaminX to the OEM fog lamps at that time.

Once I get the bumper cover off the MCS to install the IC, and play with the fogs/LaminX, then I will feel more confident about doing my wife's Cooper and installing a complete OEM fog lamp system.

Yes, put the standard MINI Fog/Parking Lamp Assembly in her Cooper. They are fairly bright when used, the Parking Lamps and Fogs, together. It is a good thing to use in the daylight when so many people have their headlights on the yellow Fogs/Parking really stand out in the herd. When traveling along forested roads it makes people coming out of driveways stop and think.
