Stealth amber lamps

So after reading what I could here, and searching every auto parts store within 30 miles of me, I found a place to get the bulbs I wanted and so far(a little over a week) so far so good. I ordered the bulbs from xenonmods website, even tho I haven't read anything abut them on here so I was a little worried at first when I didn't get any kind of order confirmation but in less than 3 business days I got them. I dont have much money to spend on mods right now but I think these crome covered amber bulbs work great to get rid of the 'egg' look I just wanted to point any one in the right direction if anyone was wondering where to get bulbs to do this like I was.

Looks good. What I did was take the oem bulbs and give them a quick spritz of silver paint. Different method, same result.

Are you asking about the side markers or the front signal lamps?

The side ones are SUPER fast - just gently pull back towards the bumper and the front clip will let go. Then just twist the plastic cover and the back bulb holder will come off - watch out tho, there is a small rubber o-ring that is between the cover and the back holder. It took prob 2 min total for me including taking the bulbs out of the box and walking around the car to the other side.

The front turn markers were very easy as well. Pop the hood and if your hands are too big just reach down and a 1/4 turn to the right and it opens and just press down the bulb and turn and it will pop out.

As far as brightness, the front bulbs are as bright as the stock - if not a little brighter when on. The side markers in full daylight are harder too see but I think they look a ton better so to me they are staying.

If any one needs more pics on where or how I can post.

Yea I tried that on my last car and no matter what they always burned out on me within a month or so, and it made them dimmer. For the <$20, for me the new bulbs were worth it.

But hey, the best part of the modding community is how different people go about getting a great result in their own ways.

I've only had it that way for about a week so we will see!

Yea only time will tell! But if you end up needing bulbs the site I posted was great ... I was worried because after I paid I never got any confirmation email or any info saying my order was even in other than the confirm on the site after I paid ... However I got them 3 days later and they were perfect. So much better than searching local parts stores for the right size and color and all that - plus the same bulbs at advanced auto would have been $5 more

yup, I did the same. Used high heat paint and masked off the back side of the bulb. That way it allows full light output from behind but still the benefit of the non-egg yolk look when the bulb isn't on.
