Driving lights on 2005 MCSC keeps blowing fuses

Hi,

I just got a 2005 MCSC in Purple Haze and the driving lights don't work. I think they are factory installed, but I don't really know how to tell.

Anyway, I noticed that the fuse was blown, so I changed the fuse on it (15 Amp) twice and it blew them both immediately after I flipped the switch to turn the lights on. I don't know what to try next.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Somewhere it is shorting to ground. Resist the temptation to put in a higher amp fuse. Get your multimeter out & start testing wires.

Purple Haze is such an awesome color. It's Mrs. Moreorless's fav.

As Chuck has so wisely stated, please don't put a higher rated fuse in there or you may end up with a charcoal MCSC. There is definitely a short in there some-wheres.

If you're unfamiliar with how to use a volt meter, perhaps you have a friend that is familiar with them?

Happy sleuthing.

...Les
