Question regarding rear plate lighting

Hi there guys. One of my rear light bulbs just failed and I was thinking while i am at it I would replace it with white leds. What do you recommend?

I'm not sure what bulb # you need but, I bought LED interior bulbs for wife's 07 CR-V from www.v-leds.com. They made a BIG difference.

Reflectors and lenses are designed for specific bulb types. The requirements for conventional bulbs and LED bulbs are very, very different. Stick with what is stock. Just because someone makes and sells an alternative, that doesn't mean it works properly.

Reflectors & lenses have very little to do with interior or license plate bulbs so, LEDs work very well in those applications. Trying to use HID bulbs in conventional headlight housings is not a good idea.

I replaced mine with blue leds a while back and then one night I got pulled over by a traffic cop for it. He was going to write me up because I had modded my other bulbs all around to the 'cool blue'. When I told him I meant to buy the 'hyper white' ones he let me go with a warning.

If you want to do leds so they never burn out, do it; just stick with white. hehehe
