hi guys i'm having issue with my airbag sensor passenger seat

i notice this starting happening a couple of days ago. when my 200lb bro sat on the seat.

the airbag light would remain on even with a passenger sitting on the seat.

and my speedometer show blown airbag.

before i notice the light would come on when i start car and goes away after i drive.

Pleeeeease help! help!

My pass seat airbag switch went bad three times, had to drive to Nashville (3 hours each way) to get fixed under warranty. Required the entire seat upholstery to be replaced each time. The last time, they wanted my car overnight to run electrical diag, acting like this is rare and something else must be wrong. I have a lot of electrical mods on this car and I was sure they would claim that my mods were causing the problem.

I have been assured that in case of a crash the pass ab will fire, so I just took the center console apart and put a piece of black foam in front of the light so the red light doesn't bug me and now driving happily one. At least until last night when a series of storms came through Knoxville, with the larges hail stones I have ever seen... my MINI now looks like the surface of a golf ball, seriously. Just paid if off three days ago. Bummer.
