You will probably not be happy with that bulb, and chances are it won't fit well.

Try something more like this one:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-7W-CREE-Q...item4603d25014

(Note that this is a BAU15S, which fits the front turn signal housing; for the rears you may want a BA15S - you should check before ordering)

Does that CREE bulb have a flash fixer resistor built in? . . . .

found it

"This LED Light will Not work properly on latest/European cars with OBC CAN Bus wiring system (shows Error message), unless with a Load Resistor installed in the circuit". In the mini it will likely have that error message even with the load resistor.

I love that projector and I have CREE back up lights (which were about 1/4 the price of these) but I can't justify 42 for a small increase in brightness over the turnsignal LED's I am already using (basically the same wattage or more without the projector). If the CREE had a working flash fixer / error eliminator I think I would bite though.

I have no idea what a "flash fixer resistor" is, so I can't answer for sure.

The Mini doesn't have the "fast flash" indicator bulb-out warning behaviour (it uses the OBC to warn you instead). In most cases, when replacing the turn/brake/reverse lights with LEDs, you will want to code out the bulb checks (or find a friendly local to do the coding for you... it doesn't take long).

You will need to code out the bulb checks (or add load resistors) if you want to use those LEDs without errors.

I'm using them in all my rears (turn, brake, reverse, "fog") and they work well. Consider mixing the narrow and wide-angle versions based on the reflector housing.

2009's flash quickly and throw bulbout codes if you add LED's alone to turnsignals, even adding an LED side marker will cause rapid flashing. So you need to add resistance to get the system to behave, but how much? It is possible for it not to throw a code and flash quickly, almost like they are separate problems. Depending how much resistance you add, you will get some combination of rapid flashing or bulbout warnings on a 2009. If you search ebay for "flash fixer resistor" it is a 6 ohm 50 watt resistor which works on most cars to correct LED induced flash problems. After a lot of experimentation the best I can do is no bulbout warning and the first three flashes are rapid then it settles down and flashes normally. You 2012 guys have it easy because your flashers are "LED ready".

mini mini Those do not look like they would draw enough power to avoid a bulbout, I am using these:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2X-White-13-...44bf3b&vxp=mtr

Yes the cheap Chinese ones and they don't throw a bulbout code on my 2009 but they do on my 2010. I have gone though 2 sets in 3 year so far so they hold up great for how cheap they are. They are bright enough for DRL use and at $2 each you can afford many spares.

I am about to switch to these but I am on the fence:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2X-WHITE-T10...e62802&vxp=mtr

They should project light way better but with no reflection from the housing the light will appear to come from a single point. So it could be an expensive step backward.

mini mini what year is your mini?
