Cigarette lighter plug help...

Hi motorers!!

I bought a radar detector (Beltronics 965) and want to "hard-wire" it.

I used to have a radar detector "hard-wired" but my new detector has a strange plug, so I want to use the cigarette lighter plug that comes with the detector and connect it to the wire I had (usual "positive and negative" wire)...

So, which one (# 1 & # 2) is the positive and the negative on a cigarette lighter plug?

Here's a picture :

Thanks a lot!

I got an answer from another forum... So if anyone searches for this:

#2 is the positive.
