Pulley Party in Heidelberg

Flyingsmiley!!
Yes!! Did it yesterday afternoon at Tompkins. It is a big difference between a 15% and a 17% pulley . The car pulls stronger in all the gears and specially in 3rd gear. I completed the installation by my self in 3 hours. The old Alta 15% was easy to remove and was in perfect condition. Also the supercharger shaft was in perfect conditions after 8,000 miles. The Alta V2.0 was easy to install and when I attached the New Alta V2.0 sticker I gained almost automatically 1 HP. Just kidding!!. . . The car now it is a different beast, pulling hard in all the gears. Also I noticed a little more heat at the intercooler horn input next to the pulley. Now I just waiting for my computer to adjust to the new pulley. Well I"m 100% satisfied with the New Alta V2.0 17% pulley. Henry

Very nice... You shouldn't have to reload any software. The ECU is much like the BIOS on a computer. It will retain the software as it is "hardcoded" into the chip. You should be good to go.

Hello Daflake!!
I reloaded the tunning software yesterday and like you said it did not have to, it was ok. Problem was I filled up my tank with fuel from meinheim and the fuel was the worst I tryied so far in Germany. I used that fuel before and not problems at all. As soon I can, I will go back to the super plus like always. I was testing my car today at the autobahn and playing with a Porsche and I got the thumps up from the Porsche driver and suddenly got the SES light and later the CHECK ENGINE Light. The car did not lost any power and as soon got home, I reset the light and the car it is ok. I guess to much boost from the new 17% pulley and the low quality fuel from Meinhein PX. Henry

Hello!!
I think it is the fuel because I was using the Alta 15% pulley and the car felt it very sluggish few minutes later. Well, I need to refuel with the esso super plus and try again. When I installed the Alta 15% pulley 2 years ago the SES Light came on few times, I guess until the computer adapted to the new pulley. Henry

I very seldom use aafes gas, since there isnt an on post gas station here in HD. After I put in my pulley I went from Super to SuperPlus and I did notice a difference, but esso was not as bad as aafes. Maybe they just got some bad fuel. Just saying what I noticed.
Now for something completely different ???
According to what I can figgure out from a german magazine article.
I think one end is a S and the other is just a cooper. But it can be driven from both ends!!
