Pulley Party in Heidelberg

I wanted to post this here so that a few others could see. I have had a few folks very interested in installing some pulleys in Heidelberg. So, I have decided to pack up my car with tools and head that direction. Right now we have three people that are intersted and their pulleys are on order. If you are interested, get your pulley ordered and we will set a time and place to hold this event.

I will continue to post details about this on www.simplymini.info as we get closer.

Henry, you are more than welcome to join in. We have yet to set the date and time as some are still waiting for their pulley to arrive but extra hands are always a great thing. If you have a puller and or a detensioner tool that is even better...

Stay tuned for further updates.

This is shaping up nicely. Did we nail down a location? I could try and free up some off-street parking on my street, if all else fails. No overhead, so rain might be an issue. I could check on post about some bay space.

(and nice new image, flakey...)

Thanks, just copied it over from MINI2.

It would be nice to see if we could use the auto shop on Taylor if possible. It really is not that big of a deal if we do it outside unless it rains. Most of the work is done from the top but we will have to get on the ground a little. We are in the rainy season right now and that bothers me. So, if one of you guys can call the auto shop and see if we can get a bay for the day, that would be great.

Got my pulley (and OCC) in the mail at lunch today. Woot!

Have we picked a date? I would LOVE to have it installed before the Odelwald run (18 MAR). Daflake, you interested in coming out to do pulleys on the 17th, and sticking around for the Odenwald run on Sunday?

If I get my pulley ordered today, provided Randy Webb replies to my email, I should have my pulley by then. If so, I think this is a great plan.

Pick up the phone, and call Brad. It makes his day, going to the Post Office to put stuff into the USPS. Really. When I ordered mine, he must have sprinted to the post office, I got it that fast. In fact, he may have driven it from CA to NY, to get it into the mail to me as fast as possible. Good, good service -- I can't say that enough. And very quick mail delivery time, I've found.

I'm always glad to help I didn't drive it to NY this time.
I will be driving cross country to the Dragon though.

Do you have the webbmotorsports 15% pulley? If so, I need to contact you very soon and get my order in.

Let me know soonest. As you can tell with this thread, time is precious.

Thanks.

Not a problem. After a nights thought, put me down for the Alta 15% Version 2. Yea its more money, but version 2 must be better, and its looks good

Anyone bringing the bosses to the party? Maybe the girls can head out and do a day out or something. Just an idea...

Do! Especially if you've got your new ride -- we're looking to do the pulleys in the morning, and then a test-'em-out drive in the area after lunch, you know, to make sure everything works, and then maybe some dinner that night. Sunday is the Odelwald run -- a longer chance to test / thrash the cars, you know, jsut to really, really make sure everything works.

Should be a good weekend.

Ironically, me and the kids are flying solo that weekend, I so guess I'll stash them with friends while we turn wrenches, but police them up for the drives (which they always enjoy) and the food.

PULLEY PARTY ANNOUNCEMENT!

OK, I wanted to post this for all to see. On Saturday March 17th at 9:30 am we will be having the German St. Patricks Pulley Party! This will be done at Tompkins Barracks at the auto center. If you would like to attend but cannot get on a military post, please let me know in advance so that we can meet up so that you can be signed in. We currently have three MINI's that will go under the wrench for a small but worthy upgrade.

For those that want to watch or help, you are more than welcome to attend.

Hang around for the Odenwald run held by MINI2.info on Sunday.

See you guys there...
