Hi,
New to the forum and mini cooper cars. I just picked up my 2017 Clubman JCW from the dealer a couple days ago. Very fun car with some nice tech features and quite a peppy motor especially in sport mode. Steering is extremely responsive and nimble. The 19" rims look attractive but transmit road imperfections accurately. The JCW feels more like a driver's car in that I feel more connected to the driving experience especially with the manual six speed. My other sporty car is a Mustang Cobra GT500 and it feels bulky, scary, and not as dexterous/agile. Too much horsepower can take away from the connection between the road and the driver.

Are those Sparco rims? I used to have the exact same ones on out TDI wagon before it too got returned and replaced by a Clubman. They were pretty scratched up though, so I turned in the VW with them, and kept the original VW wheels for future use as a winter set on the Mini. We got the ALL4, so I'm gonna see how the stock all-seasons stack up (?) in the snow, maybe for this year, and then get some snow tires for next winter. Will need to swap out the center caps on the VW rims, but the lug bolt pattern is the same and I think the offset isn't too bad either so it should be a straightforward swap.

Took delivery last week. Built because I couldn't find one with our specs available stateside. Thunder Gray with Burgundy leather interior. 6 spd manual. This is replacing a TDI Sportswagen which was sold back to VW. Overall length and cargo capacity is less than the Sportswagen but surprisingly the wheelbase is over 3" longer.

Sorry, this car is the family big car and is going to remain pretty much stock. Will do a couple of things to individualize it, but mechanically we like it as it sits. As things such as brakes need replacing, we may upgrade. Been playing with classic Minis for almost 40 years and my tuning dollars and tuning time are devoted to those.
