How long does it take to go from "Waiting to be released to carrier" to actually booked on a ship?

 

Mine was completed on the 15th and took about 2 days to get to port.

 

Just called ASKMINI..
Rep said completion date of 5/22.
I asked about what stage the car was in...she said "I dont have that information". This is the second time a rep has no other info on production stages.
I just hope it can get on a ship and not have to wait additional time!

 

Have you tried the automated line? I haven't talked to an in person rep, but the automated line says 'Your car is in the body shop! It has an estimated completion date of 5/21!' so maybe it'll give you the stage.

 

I have never had the automated line give me more than "your car is currently in production with an estimated date of completion for 5/21"

No additional detail for what stage of production the car is in. Hah, we have to be an annoying bunch.

 

The computer must play favorites!

I have been using the Owner's lounge and it is updating very nicely. Seems to take a day to update. My MA said completion was on 5/16 and on the 17th it posted "Awaiting Transportation"

 

Mine missed the first ship to MD and threw a "returned to shipper" status on WW.
It's now booked on the Tonsberg scheduled to depart on 5/20 and arrive 5/29.

 

Hi all,I just called automated line,I am in the body shop with 5/21 completion also.I have been calling twice a day since Friday.. Sure wish our dealers could (would) keep us better updated!!

 

Are you calling the ASKMINI number? All I get is my completion date of 5/22

 

Well just got the call my F56 is delivered. Excited and nervous at the same time. Hope I don't regret trading my R56 in.

Just called again, yes 1866ASKMINI, the automated service said the same as it has been "Your order is in the body shop and has an estimated completion date of 5/21!" Not sure why it gives which step of production its in for some of us and not others... maybe if you're between steps it doesn't know what to say...?

 

Completion date only! That's the only info I've ever received. I don't want to pester the dealer, that will come when I start asking which ship it will be on.
Looks like our cars will be on the same ship.

The Maranello is being sold in two weeks. Sorry to see it go. It was a hard decision.
I'm sure the Mini will be better on gas than the 12 cylinder beast!!
