Love the banked 90 above the locks.
Looks like Morning Chant is dropping a hook to await her scheduled lock loading.
There are a gaggle of Minis on her deck.
Interesting, they all look deep blue?

Morning Chant is anchored off the locks
Looks like shore leave for the crew
Panama Pete's is the usual destination.
This hiatus may delay delivery.
Current time in Panama is 4:20 PM
An hour to shore and a 6 hour session at
Panama Pete's.
Hope the skipper stays on board!!
When the crew returns, they'll be tempted to
have deck races with the on deck blue Mini's.

My 'Order Details' says 'Roof and mirror caps in black' as one of the lines. I'd assume it would say the same for white if you got contrasting white. It also calls out the bonnet stripes in black.

Morning Chant
After shore leave and a visit to Panama Pete'e,
Morning Chant is back underway and through the first lock of
the Panama Canal.
She is making 3 kts across Gatun Lake on her way to the West side
of the canal. The journey is approx 50 miles. On the West side she will enter
another set of locks to bring her to sea level with the Pacific.
The canal trip will take one day.
She will then make a starboard correction and head North (320 degrees?) to
Poert Hueneme, CA. A journey of about 3500 miles.
3500 miles /17.5 kts or 20 mph = 175 hrs
175 hrs/24 hrs = about 7 1/2 days
Unless of course they stop in Ensenada to visit Hussong's Cantina.

OK I'm getting a bit more nervous. Status changed and car is finished with production but my MA is off yesterday/today. Called Mini customer service and they couldn't tell me what color the roof was, car is supposed to be Blazing Red with White top & mirrors.
Tried using the BMW VIN decoder and that is amazing. Car was finished production yesterday and all data was there. Body color and all options look correct but going from cars on hand at my dealer the option code for white roof/mirrors is 382 and that is not shown under my Vin.
Will be real unhappy if it comes with body color roof instead of White.
My MA is/should be aware I want white as we have talked about how I think that is an iconic feature of the Mini, and he also drives a Red/White color car.
Not sure what will happen if they screwed up.

Yep, mine said it was in the paint shop through yesterday, but now says its in assembly today, with today being expected for completion. Even still, with the time zone over there, it seems the day would almost be over, so I hope both our cars make it through today!

Have you tried calling the dealership and asking to talk to your MA's supervisor/manager? We've done that twice when our MA was unavailable or on his day off. In our case, the manager pushed the button to start production before we had confirmed and approved the packages and options. Since we hadn't ordered anything outlandish and it wasn't our fault, he allowed us to re-order with what we wanted using one of the slots they had reserved for dealership-ordered cars. Thought it would put us behind by a week, but it actually got built 1 day later than the original car and made the same boat as the original car that as ordered. We were told that once the production button's been pushed, it's almost impossible to stop or change...
As before, we'd encourage you to call your MA's manager...too big an investment, both financially, emotionally and visually (exterior color), to not get what you really want.
Good Luck!

Oh, and one more thought. When we built our car using the MINI USA build your car website with our MA, it came out with a build sheet showing all of the specifications, options, prices, AND pictures of the interior and exterior. When we added and deleted options, those changes showed up in the pictures. Did you get a build sheet? Perhaps that will show whether the roof color is what you want...or maybe the Sales Manager you can send your build sheet to you?
