Mini Configurator Update for 2015 Model packages
Good news for some....Mini has updated their online configuration tool with the new package options for the 2015 F56 model. My build is now $350 more.

Since next week is the last build week for the 2014, I don't understand why it's going to take another two months to get your car. I suspect it will be more like 5 to 7 more weeks until you see it.

I am still debating on waiting for November to order, but it may save me money to order it now as I am sure they will add more features for additional cost as time goes on.

I am curious when they are going to update the countryman with the same interior as the hardtop. Think they will put in the new instrument cluster and head's up display?

I think they look sweet, but wish they were 17".

I'm built and awaiting transport presently. My exact build is exactly $1000 more as a 2015 model. The 2015 build price included the comfort access and storage system that I ordered anyway. So it would cost me $1000 for the exact car built as a 2015. I wonder if I would make that up when I sold the car? I tend to keep my cars for awhile so I don't know. My 2006 R53 that I am trading in just hit 110,000 miles this morning.

I don't think the Countryman will be getting a facelift for a few years. Really looks like they're continuing to roll everything out slowly.
It's actually why I was hoping to see the new F55 on there. My wife is wanting a Countryman, but now that I've got my new F56, I want the new features on what my wife gets. Though the F55 may be too small for what she wants.

$1,100 difference for mine. And, I see your point. I just don't like the idea of automatic lights and wipers. I prefer to set those things myself. I could probably get used to the auto A/C, though.

Or maybe I didn't get the sarcasm at first glance?!

Lol if I configure the 2015 the same way as my 2014, it would be $2,305 more including those additional options.

The problem with the non-automatic wipers is, the intermittent is fixed speed and not variable! I would have been happy with a manual variable speed intermittent if they had it, but I caved in and got the automatic.

As to extra options, they do factor in the car's overall value at the time of sale, but obviously heavily discounted from the original price.
This makes no difference if you lease the car, only if you buy it.

Ohhh, I didn't realize the manual wipers weren't variable speed. That will take some getting used to again. All my recent VWs have had this feature, so I guess I've been spoiled.

NO further updates to R60 Countryman and R61 Paceman until the new model debuts for the 2017 model year. It will be wider, a bit longer and taller and have a "Subaru Outback-like" appearance to distinguish it from the new F54 Clubman replacement (possibly named Traveller) which will be MINI's largest model, albeit much lower/sleeker and more of a sportswagen.
So no new engines, interior, 8.8 inch screen, touch controller or HUD for the R6x models

Just about every manufacturer except BMW/MINI have variable intermittent wipers as standard equipment. It's such a glaring omission. The auto wipers do work well in changing weather, but I don't care for the auto headlights. They'll turn on even when it's bright outside.
