F55/F56 Short shifter?

Short shifter?
Hi- I was just browsing the Craven site, and was pleasantly surprised to see that they have a short shifter kit available already. Anybody tried it yet? Or anyone know of any other kits I should look at? I'd love to shorten the throw and remove slop from the shifter, while keeping stock height, boot, and ****.
Thanks!

I have it on my R56. Craven makes a good product. To be honest, when I shorten the height it takes more effort to make the shift, but it is a shorter throw. Might be different on the F56. Works as they advertise, but I'm not certain I would do it again. I liked the feel of the F56 shifter.

Jeff,
I'm not aware of any others at the moment, but I can tell you we have a money back guarantee with ours. If you feel like giving it a shot and don't love it, I'll take it back.
I did want to note that anytime you shorten a shifter, it is going to take more effort to shift. (basic rules of a lever). Some people notice it more than others, so it may or may not be a factor for you, depending on how low you set the shifter, I don't tend to notice as I shift with enthusiasm.

If the note on your account is correct and you are in England, contact Lohen for CravenSpeed Parts in stock in the UK.

Adam, I'll post my thoughts in here. This is the guy who got the extra Platypus in TX, by the way.
Stuff I like about the shifter...
-Excellent build quality, adjustment is easy. Good that folks can re-use the OEM shift **** if they want (since many aftermarket shifters for other platforms eliminate that as an option...). Online documentation pretty good as well.
Things I might change in a perfect world...
-The online documentation failed to mention additional trimpiece screws in a few areas (there is a second pair, for example, on each side of the center console, under the rear cup holder that do not appear in the DIY). It was not a problem for me to figure out but if the customer is a novice installer and operating under the assumption that this guide is comprehensive, I could see them struggling.
The only real complaint I had was the Cravenspeed white plastic retaining clip that I ordered and there are two reasons for that.
First, I think it ought to be a standard part of your SS kit. Of course, charge folks for it but explain to them why. I'm a pretty experienced installer and will tell you that I would be surprised if 2 in 10 customers could get out the OEM white plastic retainer without destroying it. After devising a jig to try and compress all three tabs simultaneously, I STILL ended up cutting the thing out with a pair of dykes. I've installed aftermarket shifters in a number of vehicles and every one of them came with a new "retaining" piece because, well, you're going to have to mangle the old one to get it out. Point being that as a customer, I would rather pay a little more on ther front end to have every part I might need than get the console apart, then discover that I actually need to order something else to complete the install.
The second part is that I was a bit disappointed in the quality of the aftermarket white retainer. At least as compared to the other parts. I get that it is plastic and built on a 3D printer but it did require quite a bit of cleanup on my end to be serviceable. There were enough "boogers" from the machining process left in all the various channels and cavities that they impeded compression of three tabs. I was able to clean all that up with an xacto knife and some compressed air but my point being that it looked like an unfinished product. Or at least not on par with the other Cravenspeed products I received and very overpriced at $45.
Just my thoughts since you asked. I am happy with the shifter and will reccommend it.

Thank you very much for the feedback!
Glad you are happy with the shifter and I would love to talk more about the insert. We don't include it, partially because it is so new. I am glad it worked for you even if you had to clip the boogers first. Printing with that material is very challenging and part of the high cost for the part, we'll work on improving that part of the process.
