Undecided on 17 inch wheels

Undecided between 17 inch Cosmos Spoke wheels and 17 Tentacle Spoke. Car will be all BRG. Any suggestion?

Do any of you know the weight of those rims? Are they the same? The Tentacle ones seems lighter because of the shape, but it might just be a wrong impression.

Just another question: 17 inch + sport suspension, how do you find the combination, too harsh?

Thank you very much!

I have the cosmos and sport sus. I think it feels great but will be noticibly better after ditching the runflats.

How long do these stock runflats supposedly last? I want to replace them, but can't justify spending the $$$ when they're still so new.

I know it has a lot to do with driving style, but maybe someone knows a roundabout mileage?

Take them off before you drive on them a sell on craigs list or e bay. That cash can help fund your new tires.
then there is no guilt.

I checked the "TREADWEAR" number on my tires and remember seeing something like 420 (!!!). That will last 50,000+ miles in 20-mph avg speed daily commute to work everyday!

I have 17 rims and new RFs and the sport suspension and my ride isn't harsh IMO. It remember it being more harsh on my 2007. Maybe it's the tires.

My 2007 runflats lasted almost 30,000 miles. My non runflats had over 40k on them when I traded the car in and had a year to go. Runflats cost double what a similar non RF costs.

The F56 ride much smoother in 17 & RF then R56 in my opinion even on the factory run flats. The damping system set up even makes it better. You might notice a slighty better ride but don't think it will be a dramatic like R53 & R56 MINIs.

It comes down to looks :

Some wheels I really like are the new: and seeing them in person, wow what a nice factory wheel from MINI.

That's remarkable mileage for runflats! Everyone I knew got between 15k and 25k with the R56, mostly toward the lower number. I think I got 20k on my '07, with some autocrosses thrown in.

Welcome.
It was a great pic and one of the first I have seen with style 506 wheels. Thanks. When these wheel were first issued I was like, wow those are just the CM JCW wheels ,5x120 on the new F56, then they changed the bolt pattern to 5x112.

They fill out the wheel wells very nicely.
