Fully Loaded Build!

Hi Everyone,

First let me introduce myself. I am a previous member who had an R56. I had much enjoyed it as my commuter as well as my toy. I went from a modified mustang with 370hp/400tq and still enjoyed my Mini. I modified the R56 with tune and suspension parts, and took it to autocross and road race. However, after 4 years and 130k miles!!! The wastegate was going and i decided to get a civic for my long commuting. (And a Ducati, to replace the fun factor. )

I since have a new job and take public transportation. The wife and I are looking for a new car and after much consideration have chosen to go for a 2015 Mini Cooper S. The 2015 Auto Fiat Abarth was is the running, as well as the BMW m235i(which comes out to alot $$$$).

I am currently waiting for more info on the JCW Tuning package and Accessories which are not out yet before placing the order. I rather wait and include it in the financing, or risk it only being an as built option instead of just an ecu flash like previous gens. It being the wifes car, it will be auto and non-jcw exterior.

I will be updating thread as i move forward for purchase. I expect the F56 with everything will be $40k.

For those who have already placed an order.

Yea, post some pic of the JCW Tuning kit options when you get it.

Seen some of the JCW Tuning Kit parts on the F56 test car and one thing is the test car did set low with the new JCW Tuning kit suspesnion.

eeeek! a $40k Mini? I'd totally go with a BMW 2 or 3 series for that much!

A BMW 228 might be comparable and only slightly more than an F56 with the JCW tuning kit.
- But yeah, not as fun

And an M235i with Navi, Leather, etc reaches $54k!!

Not interested in the 3 series. No individuality.

I'm not sure if they are included in the JCW interior pkg but if not add the JCW floor mats. They really make the interior pop, check out a couple photos in my gallery

That's a great build right there. My 2014 JCW Coupe was about $39k with the Recaro seats ($2700) and some other stuff, but no NAV and missing some stuff you're getting. That will be a pretty hot car IMO. The auto park it option is extra. The factory JCW version that I have won't be available for almost another year. If you are considering a rear sway bar for the suspension don't get the adjustable dampers. From what I've read the adjustable dampers are for people who want to soften the ride more than they are for people who want a more sport like suspension. The JCW body kit may be available in the fall. 3 series Beemers are for wives now, they're huge.

3 series are "for wives" is a bit like saying mini coupes are for hipsters. I see a lot of men driving and presumably enjoying their 3 series. Oh yeah, their wives might be at home scrubbing the kitchen floor

At those prices, has anyone cross shopped the new Audi A3? It may not be as fun to drive, but it seems to be well reviewed.
