I was trying out the DVD in Motion today and can't get the DVD changer to read my DVD's! (Attached Pictures) Does anyone know what could be wrong? Is there another way to get my car to play a movie besides physical DVD's?

What coding did you use? There's 5 or 6 parts for DVDS in motion.

I did everything that was in the cheat sheet for the F56http://www.bmwesys.com/guides/BMW%20...ooper%20S.docx

In HU_NBT
SPEEDLOCK_X_KMH_MAX werte=FF
SPEEDLOCK_X_KMH_MIN werte=FF
VIDEO_HANDBRAKE= Nicht Aktiv
VIDEO_FRONT_LOCKED= Nicht Aktiv
VIDEO_SPEEDLOCK_CONDITION= None

I also did enable video files from USB, if that makes a difference, although I'm not able to play videos through the USB.
ENT_CODEC_XVID=Aktiv
ENT_CODEC_VCD=Aktiv
API_USB_VIDEO=Both

That should have worked

Put in on an iPod, or iPod touch. Mine plays my music videos just fine (not that I'm interested, but it does).

Add These:

HU_NBT>3000>SERVICE_MESSAGES_SPEEDLOCK_CONDITION>N ONE

HU_NBT>3000>OFFICE_MESSAGES_SPEEDLOCK_CONDITION>NO NE

see if that helps...

That's how mine is coded. Double checked to make sure all values are correct. This does work

In SPEEDLOCK_X_KMH_MAX and _MIN, when I enter werte value FF, it says unknown on the the little box above werte, is this normal or do one of the speeds (3 KMH or 8 KMH) have to be chosen? I read in Bimmerfest that you have to choose 3 KMH and enter FF into werte, but it doesn't let me put them together? does anyone here do remote tuning, I really need help, what do I need for remote tuning?

my car was able to play videos from the USB drive from the factory; coding just removed the speed limit. I did find that my car wouldn't recognize one of my USB drives, but worked fine with a different one.

on a similar topic, is anybody able to save video files to their hard drive? I tried the below, but it didn't work (unless there's another option to save vs. "importing music" ).

Enable the function of saving video files to NBT Hard Drive for play later
3000  ENT_MC_VIDEO_SUPPORT set to: aktiv

They play on mine, using my Y cable (I don't think you need that for the F56). When I put it in drive the video shuts off, the music plays still. These are iTunes music videos that I bought. I use an old iPod 5g from 2006.

I am having the same issue. I read that everyone can enter FF in these values, but I have no idea how. Every time I enter FF, and hit save, it changes back to 00. Am I missing something?

Does anyone think it's possible to programme in the pop and burble, I believe they took off of Sport mode in the 2015's, as I hear the 2014's do it in Sport mode.

how do i find what system update I am on. I took delivery of my MCS a few days ago, so its likely the newest one... but I am hoping I may still be able to do some coding. I definitely want to throw in the coding to get the mirrors to tilt down when in reverse for instance...

I think you just have to bring in the key to the dealer and have them check for any updates. Mine has production date of 9/30/2014, and the dealer didn't have any updates when I checked just couple days ago.

Tilting side mirrors on reverse requires you to have powered folding mirrors, or something called "mirror memory". With my base setup, tilting mirrors didn't work.

Don't worry, you'll be able to do coding just fine. I recommend doing the highlighted codings in my signature. Easy to do, and works on base 2015 F56.

wonder why you would need the folding mirrors... I mean its not the whole mirror assembly that needs to move, just the mirror itself... and all MINIs have powered control for that...

Yeah, that's what I thought. So I tried but failed. In the coding, there is a comment saying "mirror memory required" in German, but there is no such thing as seat memory. So I think it's a complete different hardware. Maybe the folding mirrors have a memory where it stores those values. With everything (even the horn) controlled by the computer, it's kind of stupid that tilting mirror is not included in the base setup.

You are 100% correct. You do not need to have the folding mirrors that come with the cold weather package to tilt your passenger mirror while in reverse. This is a standard function and didn't even require coding in my car. If you move (and keep) the mirror selector switch on the passenger side, the passenger mirror will tilt down while in reverse. No coding required.

Hope that helps.

Really? In the manual, under "Automatic Curb Monitor", it says slide the mirror changeover switch to the driver's side mirror position and engage R. I tried this before coding and after coding and it didn't tilt.

Interesting thing I didn't know: it says depending on the configuration, the mirror setting is stored for the remote control in use. When the car is unlocked via remote, it retrieves the stored setting if this function is active. I'll have to test this tomorrow using two remotes. Then I'll know if there is "mirror position memory" somewhere.

I tried the tilting mirror while reversing a few times. I found it annoying that I couldn't see anything except the ground on the right side. I don't use it anymore.

I asked shawn at bimmerfest what the latest version he has and some other stuff.

The latest version for PSdZData Full/Lite is v54.1 (same version I got in November 2014, it probably has even earlier build date). If all you need is coding and changing some stuff, it's fine to use this.

As cn555ic said in his earlier post, shawn also said 54.3 is actually the latest version but he's avoiding anything higher than 54.2 due to the new changes from BMW.

There's also information on how to check your current version of the software loaded on the car that he wrote.

This is the post that he replied in case anyone wants to see the original.
