Any options for spare tire? (when non-RFT)?
Has anyone looked at options for a spare tire when replacing Run Flats with non-RFTs?
I know several have switched and either have no Plan B or air compressor or goop to refill on the road, but I'm toying with a toy-size spare. It adds a few pounds but the reduced rotational mass / unsprung weight from dropping a few lbs. per tire (stock RFT = 24 lbs.) should more than make up for it.
Edit: Oops, RFT = 24 lbs. is for 225/R17. I believe stock tire is 205/R17 which = 20 lbs.
However difference between 225/R17 RF vs. 225/R17 non-RF is 3 lbs. (TireRack doesn't list a non-RF for the 205/R17).
