F55 F56 Jcw Tuning Kit, Dealer's Parts Special $1,792.00

(posted on general hatch talk as well as Jcw area, I've read lots of helpful information the last 5 years. I'm glad I can finally contribute to this forum and the community.) motor on!!!!

Recently been browsing online on local dealers "specials offer" and happen to run into parts specials that caught my eye. It happens to be for an F55 / F56 Jcw Tuning Kit at EatBay Mini in Northern California. Been looking for possible upgrades (as most mini enthusiasts get right away). I've always wanted a GP or a Jcw, but logic and practicality got the best of me. So I've been drawn to Jcw Tuning Kit (not trying to void any warranties, and likes for my dealership to handle any possible "issues" in the future)

The kit also adds horsepower and track mode! A Track mode on my 4 door family "sedan" that's an instant grin/smile maker. The 4 door S is more than enough as far as speed and power. But like I said, I've always been drawn to the GP and Jcw! Did I mention track mode! That alone sells itself, YouTube Jcw tuning kit and see if you can say no. A carbon mini edition would be the easiest and best solution, but the pockets were not having it. So any "special offers" I can take advantage off is a blessing.

Took my week old F 55 for a drive and met Adam. Adam happens to be the part manager of the branch and was more than helpful. EastBay Mini has installed FJcw tuning kits before, but I believe that I will be the first 4 door to have it done with them. The cost for the tuning kit, $ 1,790.00 (Adam was more than willing to "work" with me on a deal I simply can't refuse)

*Correction!!! EastBayMini.com has it listed for $1,792.00 (saved myself $2.00 more lol)

To my surprise, Adam was able to get me a service discount as well. Didn't even have to ask! I was able to order, pay, and set my appointment for next week for an F55 tune all within minutes.

Scott is the Service manager and have been nothing but kind and courteous to my mini family. My first mini was an 2010 R56 and they have been taking care of it since we got it there over 5 years ago.

I've heard of horror stories of bad experiences with dealerships. Just want to share my experiences with this particular location.

And TRACK MODE!!!
Mini sells itself, test drive one!

A big part of the factory JCW Tuning kit is the exhaust. That changes the sound and has an option to open it up even more with a remote. The ECU tune is also included, but similar HP gains can be had for $400 from other 3rd party vendors, and installing these is easy and can be done in a few minutes by the owner just clipping the thing onto existing connections on the engine. They fool the engine into producing more turbo boost. They can be removed before you have it serviced at the dealer. BurgerTune is one of the vendors. I don't have one but plenty do.

I agree that similar after market parts are available. I happen to be taking the Oem route this time around, and most piggy back mods doesn't quite have that track mode growl. I've heard that a tune plus a piggy back mod = insane mode. So you can always add it later.

My F55 is my "family sedan" so a dealer tune sounds reasonable at the time. After market parts will be about the same affordable cost 6-9 months from now. The parts special may only run for a short period.

For those looking for a great deal, this may be the one and only chance.

Kids are ready for the extra fun.

I heard Recaro seats add at least 5 Horsepower.

Escoozi, they are awesome and some online sales going on at the moment.

One is a booster. Other is a harness booster and can transform to a regular booster once the harness is not needed. They fit really well and he kids love them! Also super safe and super awesome.

My daughter is still too young/small for the forward facing position yet. Do you think the convertible would fit rear facing?

Escoozi,

Anything is possible depending on front passenger seat location (might have to move forward for some space) still have leg room, just not as roomy.

Measurement for performance RIDE convertible car seat is 19 inches wide and 24.5 - 28.5 inches long (front to back) depending on recline-ability.

Performance BOOSTER is 22 inches wide, and 18.5 inches long.

Performance SPORT is 18.5 inches wide, 21.5 - 24 inches long (front to back) also slightly recline able.

Nice car! That carbon edition is what got me to looking into mini again! We have an r56, and a Jcw 4 door was just too awesome.

I tend to drive with the seat a little leaned back. I will for sure try to get measurements tomorrow for reference. Like I said front passenger side might have to compromise (sorry to whom even rides shotgun) if you really want to fit any car seat back there. Lol.

DANGIT!!! Stop it with the MINI seat. That would be amazing. I think my boyfriend would have to check me into the clinic for a full blown MINI addiction if I came home with that.

Definitely worth it.

Just need a little drop, and the right wheel setup.

Thanks. It's a great tune / upgrade for sure. Thanks for your breakdown on NM power module Mct. It's great to have a community thats tries to help each other and provide great information. Love the Supermini. I would always try to build a Jcw countryman blue and red roof but I could never go for it. Once the 4 door grew on me, just couldn't say no to the new engine. The upgrades just make it even more better.
