After driving this car twice now, I'm pretty pissed about the armrest :-/ I didn't want this stupid thing, and it's in the way wherever I put it. As low as it goes, it isn't too irritating...but as soon as I pull the e-brake it winds up back in the way. If I flip it up, I can't reach my kid in the back seat. What a stupid, stupid, stupid thing to ruin an otherwise perfect experience.
I'll have a chance to put some rain miles on them the next few days, but the Hankook S1 evo2 tires don't seem to be too bad so far. Hankook wouldn't be my first choice, but they seem to be a modern model.

I even saw a post about how to remove it.

You can just remove it, but it leaves an ugly hole. I contacted MINI about it, and my dealership per their advice. Hopefully there's some attainable way to get rid of it.

That being said, at least for now, it should be possible to remove, though I wouldn't expect the dealer to do it for you. You would have to buy the parts for a non-armrest F55/F56. The good news is that since the snap-in adapter is no longer equipped, there shouldn't be any wiring to the armrest to worry about.

Not an option for US MY2017 MINIs. Since Visual Boost is now standard and the armrest comes with Visual Boost - ALL MINIs will have the armrest now.

And someone already broke it. Glass everywhere and all sorts of chips and scratches in the paint.
Landscaper that did it seems to have a glass company on retainer, but I'm getting the runaround on a body shop. :/. Haven't even had it 2 weeks. How disappointing!!!

At least it wasn't a break-in and it's not going to come out of your pocket-- still...

Oh No :( Then this happens. I had a window break on the side, just make sure they vaccum the inside door and al the seats really good. Then use a lint roller ( Tape version ) to get all the fine glass.
