Mini USA - Updated Configuration
I'm waiting for MINI USA to update their configurator with the new 2018 F56/F55 refresh features including Apple Car Play. Any idea when the new configurator might be available? I thought MINI USA was releasing the refresh this month.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I was wondering the same thing as I clicked to open this forum page this morning.
I saw that Mini will be offering a nice cross stitched brown leather seating option for 2019. I wanted to see if they have a matching door panel that comes w/ that seat option (headliner would be nice also). We are trading this cycle and wanted to go a different direction than we did last time.

There's the Base Trim (BGO) which gives you a choice of 4 exterior colors and a single interior.
Then there's the Signature Line Package (ZSG) which adds almost all of the exterior colors and wheel options, pano roof, comfort access, automatic transmission.
You can stack the Premium Package (ZPP), Signature Upholstery Package (ZUU) and/or Touchscreen Navigation Package (7GK) on top of the Signature line depending on what additional options you want.
Or you can go with the Select Trim (ZHI) which basically includes everything.

I think the confusion stems from figuring out what's included with the top two trims and what's still standalone. Also, models like the F54/F60 have different packages and features. For example, even with the ZHI trim, driver assist options like HUD and ACC are still a separate package.
I also discovered that Park Assist/Front PDC is no longer available for the F55/F56/F57 models

I think HUD and ACC have always been standalone on the F55/6/7. HUD has been in a package on the F60 and ACC has been standalone. I've never priced out the F54 though, so I'm unfamiliar with the changes for it.
The biggest issue I have is forcing everyone to pay for an automatic transmission unless you go for the base model which restricts you to 4 colors and the base interior. I've held off on finalizing my order because of that even though I've had a deposit down with an initial 2018 config for 3 months. You can't even order the alarm system without moving up to the Signature line.

I want to see the interior options for 2019 rather than working off a salesman's option sheet. So my hesitation to order before the configurator comes on line is for purely aesthetic reasons.
Our plan for a 2019 was going to be an S or JCW w/ the Satellite Gray leather interior w/ the matching door panels and the dash accent piece (Lapis-blue ext). For 2019, they are offering the brown "Chesterfield Oak",cross-stitched leather seating (which is the route we would now go over the gray option), but want to know if they offer a brown door panel or at least a brown accented panel (like the new Countryman) w/ a brown dash accent piece (British Racing Green Ext).
I know that asking the salesman at this point, he will not have an answer.

Cool, thanks for the info. I know they had a truffle brown dash piece in the past. I was hoping they would offer matching door panel to the new seat color option....

I believe the color line extends to the door panel, but it's only the armrest of the door, it's not going to be an entire section of panel like specing the British Oak leather option on the Countryman. In the current configurator, you can spec a 2018 7 Edition with the Malt Brown color line to get an idea of how it will look.

Thanks for the pix. I was hoping for a bit more carry over to the door panel (at least like the Countryman).
Think I will stay w/ the satellite grey if that's the case.
Thinking a BRG/ w white bonnet stripe, white top and mirror caps, satellite grey leather interior (S) or Rebel Grn for JCW.
