It would be nice if someone
made a Gen 2 downpipe with
a high flow cat that lasted on
the street for a daily driver and
didn’t throw codes.

It's actually an Arctic region these days.

Truth is, Mini Vinne lives on his own planet. A very, very fast place.

No emmisions to speak of in MN.
the exhaust condenses to snow and
dry ice after it comes out of the tailpipe

Washington is following through on their plan to eliminate emissions testing next year. I'm very thankful for that.

Delete all the cats!

I do not see an adapter for US cars. Are you sure they include it or even make it?

Just out of curiosity, what's the problem with the high flow catted Milltek downpipe that's been out for a few years now?

For me it's mostly price. Why pay more than 2x for a catted downpipe than a catless when a cat isn't required? When it comes to performance a high flow catted downpipe still has a cat exhaust has to flow through so it'll be a little more restrictive than a decat. Another difference would be sound. Even a high flow catted downpipe will strip fuel and pollutants from the exhaust. That means less prominent pops and bangs. Whether or not that matters is 100% personal preference but if you want the loudest pops and bangs or to shoot flames you need to go catless.

I was more referring to the declaration made in the title of this thread "Finally a quality catted Hi-Flow down pipe". To me this implies others that have been on the market to this point are not high quality so I was wondering what the quality problem with the milltek is.

I do agree with you on your points, unfortunately for me I daily drive my car, and have laws that require a cat. I get hassled enough, that I like to keep my cars 100% legal. I also picked my milltek up used off a local club member who did go catless, paid catless price with only a couple thousand KM on it.

Oh, yeah, in that case I'm not sure. Milltek has a pretty good reputation and when it comes to catless downpipes the only two I ever see recommended are either Milltek's or Mario Palza's. I would think Milltek's high flow chatted downpipe would be up to the same quality as their decat.

When it comes to performance a high quality 100 or 200 cell cat is zero difference power wise vs a catless downpipe. This has been proven on multiple platforms. Especially with the low power the b46/48 puts down.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with milltek. I have used their products for well over a decade and they are always top notch quality and they use the best high flow cat on the market. The HJS downpipe is even nicer than the milltek.

That will be nice, but even as it stands now, my ‘12 isn’t required to do emissions testing in WA. I’m already catless and was not worried because it’s not a sniffer test, just OBD2, but I recently found out that my car is not required for any more emissions tests! No cats for every Mini! Lol.

Seriously though, when I put my new turbo in, I was originally going to get a high flow catted downpipe, but the price difference between catted and catless is so large, that I figured I would swap the factory DP back on for testing if I needed to. But then my friend with a catless WRX passed emissions testing with flying colors, so I figured I’d just go for it. Then learned I didn’t need to even worry about it

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but are there any more info on this DP? Like, does it throw codes, does it require O2 sensor spacer to not throw codes, any other issues? Thanks.

I have found the mini cat from Big Daddies Garage works really well to remove a check engine light, it is just a little mini cat that intercepts the o2 sensor so you would pass an obd2 emissions test
