Need F56 MINI JCW ASD settings

Hey guys! Anyone with recent 3rd Gen USA F56 MINI JCW can check few settings that are shown either with E-Sys or Bimmercode app(expert mode)? I am looking for info on ASD(Active Sound Design) module and would like to know the following settings under "Model Range", Power Class, Engine and Country Variant. Just want to code so my MINI would make a different/better sound when accelerating.

Here is an example of EU variant of JCW's ASD settings

Here is the thread, where it all started: https://www.minif56.com/threads/codi...-sounds.78306/

I hope you post if you have any luck with this. I'm wanting to change my ASD as well. All I want is permanent Mid Mode sound. The Sport is a little too much for me. I asked the Orlando dealer if they could re-code the ASD. They acted like they've never even been asked a coding question before. Anyway, I haven't found an answer yet. Good luck.

You want some custom setting which can be done by trying to code different options based on your original settings. If you don't have Bimmercode app and Bluetooth OBD scanner, then you will need them. It is very simple to do and the app is pretty much straight forward. The image in my original post is from a PC program which is a bit more complex than the mobile app. Go to https://bimmercode.app/ and on top it will have link for "OBD Adapters". Just research it if you haven't. In there you can get "Veepeak OBDCheck BLE Bluetooth" - use the first item link as it is a bit cheaper or if you prefer, you can get the + version of the same adapter.

If you drive JCW, maybe you could help provide current settings of your car's ASD by bimmercode?

Thanks for the image! I went to my MINI dealer in Seattle thinking they would have JCW, but to my surprise they didn't! No used or new JCW vehicles. I asked service guy and one person at sales, they all new Bimmercode and the sales guy confirmed he coded JCW sound to his 2016 Clubman some time ago. Did you make the changes you wanted to make or found any combination that would work for you?

I used the simple mode of Bimmercode to turn the ASD fully off. The readings I got were from looking at the expert mode. (you knew that though). The fact that the two changed items that turn off ASD are so weird and don't make intuitive sense (model, engine) makes me squishy on experimenting on my own to get permanent mid-mode sound.

I kind of prefer normal driving with the ASD off. It's quiet. I'm still unsure if the ASD also provides a level of "noise cancellation" for low level road noises etc. If there is active noise cancellation as part of the ASD, I can't tell if it also is turned off with the rest of the ASD. It still seems pretty quiet overall.

During aggressive acceleration, I do miss at least mid-mode level fake engine noise. Even though I have an upgraded downpipe with stock back, the ASD fake noise is pretty sweet and sounds more tuned overall to me than the true exhaust. I'll post if I do experiment. But if just adjusting the intensity to mid is what I want, but switching it off requires "Engine S55B30", what the heck, I can't figure out what I'd do first.

As far as understand, there are different power classes which depending on the settings produce more or less sound in the cabin. So if you would leave all settings of ASD stock and just switch from OL to ML?

Performance classes(levels)K = Lowest
U = Lower
M = Middle
O = Upper
T = Top
S = Super

I did try expert mode and changing just the Power Class. I tried "ML 0x02" and "TL 0x05". Both seemed to shut off ASD completely. I went back to "OL 0x03" (which is stock) and the ASD was fully back on like stock again.
Maybe I'll try something later, but just thought I'd post my results.

I will try your settings since I want to try JCW sound but in your case I would try settings from Cooper S models, maybe that will be closer to what you want.

I have F55 Cooper S 2016 and it has very subtle sound even in Sport and sounds natural. See if it will work on your model. I recently had 2020 MCS loaner and the sound was so exaggerated even in MID.

In my car Model Range: F055, Power Class: ML and Engine is B46A20, try it. AND TRY 2016 F056 Cooper S settings: Model Range F056, Power Class: ML and I believe engine on F56 is B46A20 as on my car in the US
