I'll be installing a Miltek downpipe and Forge hard intake pipe over labor day weekend. Is there anything else I should change or maintenance I should do that would be convenient while I'm that area of the engine bay?

You will have everything off to do spark plugs which if you are going to tune the car you will most likely need to change them anyway for the next step colder plug.

Good idea. I'm planning on upgrading my intercooler and doing a Stage 2 tune by the end of the year. What are the recommended spark plugs for that setup?

If you have the original motor mount i'd upgrade/change that out while you are under there

You can swap the intake pipe without taking everything apart that Forge shows. Save a lot of time buy popping the clamp and shown in the video

Just to be safe order the spring clip that holds the pipe to the turbo in case it falls. Also make sure you have some silver heat tape in case you tear the insulation on the firewall.

If you haven't ordered the intake pipe yet they have shown on backorder for a while. I got mine from ECS, I received an email they had them in stock and ordered right away, checked later that day and they were out of stock again.

That spring clip is a nightmare to get back on, when I go to Stage 2 and new downpipe, I'm definitely paying someone else to do it. With these times I don't mind paying to keep a good shop in business.
