Program F56 Rear Fog Lamps as **DRLs**?
Been looking across multiple forums for this and haven't been able to dig out whether anyone has asked (and whether anyone has answered) this question. So...
You have an F56 with rear fog lamps physically installed and wired, but you don't have the switch assembly with the rear fog lamp position, and the option to turn them on is not programmed. Can you program the rear fog lamps to work as DRLs?
Lots of stuff out there for programming the rear fog lamps to come on as additional brake lights -- I got that done with Bimmercode, easy peasy after some research. But what I REALLY want to know is whether there is a way to program the car to light up as DRLs. And all the searching I do keeps bumping into either (a) turning up your rear fogs as rear fogs or (b) turning up your rear fogs as brake lights. There may be a DRL answer out there but there is so much background noise I can't even find where someone has asked the question.
Anybody know? Or have bright ideas?

I'm just gonna throw this out here:
Do some research on why DRLs came into being around 2010.
There's a reason why only front DRLs exist.
There a reason why no one's asked about a rear DRL conversion.
There's a reason why rear fogs exist, why most are only one lamp, and why they are defeatable.
There's a reason why rear fogs as a brake light is a reasonable conversion.
Simply put: bright always-on rear lights are illegal pretty much everywhere. Even on track cars.
Guess what? There's a reason for that, too. Several, actually.

This is factually false. While not all vehicles with DRLs have rear DRLs, some do. After a certain point in time and if the lighting is set to "Auto," for example, Volvos do (this goes back to 2015). Nor are those Volvos illegal.
Nor are said Volvos rare, fringe, hard to find, etc. Lots of them on the road, for a long time now.
Enjoy that :: smh :: though.
