ECU Scanning problems

Hey guys, I need some light here

I own a 17 F56 for a bit more than a year now that is mostly stock and still under warranty (mini next )

A week ago I had its battery replaced on a local store. After it I tried running my OBD2 Bluetooth scanner just to check on potential error codes, but was unsuccessful on doing so.
The scanner would just not read the ECU module, but would read all others perfectly..
After some tinkering I decided to try my local shops scanner, they tried two different sacnners ( IDK the brands, but good professional ones) and the were also unsuccessful at reading the ECU module...

The car behaves just fine tho, and there are no other error codes.. OBD2 works fine too for all other things but the ECU.

I tried taking my car to the dealership but they wanna charge me a ton of money to have it diagnosed and also need to have the car for two days -- which would be awful for me.

Has anyone experienced anything similar before? Any tips?

Hey Lucas,

It's been a few years so hopefully you found a solution to this problem. I'm having the same issue. I'm able to read all modules except for the ECU. Could you share what the solution was?

Thanks!
