Adam,
So do you! BTW, Alta's 19mm rear anti-sway bar and end links, and 2" shorty antenna on the car.

What do you think about powder coating the JCW wheels?

When I bought my JCW, it looked almost identical to yours. It came with the JCW Challenge wheels.

I absolutely loved the look of the Challenge wheels and my first step was to have them powdercoated in gloss black.

The ONLY reason I didn't is because those wheels are stupid heavy. (23'ish lbs)

I ended up selling them and bought a set of OZ (2 sets, one for the track 17's which weigh 14.x lbs and 18's for the street a hair more in wieght)

If you don't mind the weight, ABSOLUTELY, get them powdercoated, they're beautiful wheels.

The weight really isn't an issue the JCW is actually my work car!!

I just want to be sure the powder Coating will stay on my wheels and won't chip or crack.

My play car is a 2006 BMW M Roadster. On that I might be looking to shed a few pounds!!

Then go for it. I've got a 3rd set of OZ's at the powdercoater this week. Just saw them today, they're having issues but they're still getting done.

Updated pics, now with KW lowering springs, will get coilovers next year i think. Oh, and the number on the side is my start number in Swedish Mini Cup, a time attack class we are developing.

Still to do, black-out the chrome around the headlights, new CF scope

JCW delivery time

Ron, I just noticed the delivery schedule that you had last year. I'm ordering a 2011 JCW, and have been wondering just when to put the order in. My dealer won't order anything yet, they do NOT have the pricing yet, but I was considering ordering in mid August. But, in looking at your schedule. Ordered on 9-2 and it was delivered the first part of November. I don't want delivery, well actually I do, but the timing is better if I receive it in November. Lease on the Miata and all. And, yes I know that I could just turn it in early, but I won't.

I'm still up in the air about the color, I would really like to see the Silver/white in person. But in saying that, I got on the MiniUK site, and configured out a JCW in the BRG ll with the Red Roof. I never thought that I'd like green, but that really gets to me. Plus, there just might be all that many BRG ll with Red out there next year. It, just has that European look. Maybe I'm crazy.

Sorry 2Z, never noticed your reply.

Yes, that seems about right... you'll spend 75-125 per wheel so you're at the low end of that scale.

Oh yes they do Bruno, they like smaller cars for everybody else except themselves, as they ride around in their limo's, that we are paying for.

51k?? Seriously?? WOW.... Why so much. Our local dealer just sold one for 42K, aren't they based out basically the same? Or do they get everything ordered just like a regular mini when ordered?

Is there anything that 51K doesn't include?

Thanks,

Mark

Ouch, the dealer added $10K for 'Adjusted Market Value', which is just a dealer mark-up
