Random question, how many 2009 JCW Clubmans were made?
I'm closing on my house at the end of the month and once that is complete I'll be in the market for a used JCW Clubman. I've been doing some looking over the past couple months and have noticed a few things. First, there are very few out there, especially with the options I'd like to have (premium, comfort, cold weather). Second, when they are out there they tend to sit. I believe this is in part due to the premium that some people want for them but also the fact that it's a niche car.
So, out of curiousity, any idea how many JCW Clubmans are out there? I've found a whopping 5 in the US right night priced between $23,800-$28,000.
Thanks,
Todd

A while back, I was curious about that too. Here's the forum post I found on that very topic.
In the end, I think the final estimation of JCW vehicles imported into the United States during 2009 (based on the discussion in the indicated thread) was:
You may find more of them available if you expand your search to include the 2010 model year; but of course, a year newer will command a higher price...

- 280 Hardtop JCW

- 110 Clubman JCW

Funny, the last three cars I've bought were out of Portland.

"I goooogled around a while and found "The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders Limited" in the UK that collects production data for the UK automobile industry. Here's their website: www.smmt.co.uk
After an e-mail exchange with their Production and Export Data Coordinator, they told me the following:
"To answer your question, there were 498 JCW MINIs exported to the USA in 2009. A further 66 to Mexico and 32 to Canada."
I did ask if they can further divide those numbers into sub groups of Hard Top, Convertible, and Clubman...but no such luck.
So perhaps this is as much as we will find out but still, this appears to further validate the production range."
So, apply the same percentage breakdown against a 498 car total and that is likely a more accurate picture.

The total you have is a bit light at 452. Check here: https://www.northamericanmotoring.com/forums/3003112-post40.html

I failed to dyno mine before making changes. Wish I had done so. Here's what's been done so far.
Modifications include:
Carbon Fiber Hood Scoop
Clubman roof spoiler
Black Jack scuttles
JCW black grill surround
Alta stubby antenna
GMG No Holes Plate
Blacked out belt line
Black Jack license frame
Tinted windows
Forge Front Mount Intercooler
ALTA BOV Spring Upgrade
ALTA Access Port - Stage 1
John Cooper Work Kit Conical Intake
Madness JCW Intake Filter
NM Torque Arm Insert
ALTA 22mm Rear Sway Bar
ALTA Rear End Links
Continental Extreme Contact DWS - 215/45-17 on 17" (Winter Wheels)
John Cooper Works R105 18" summer wheels with 5mm spacers to clear the BBK on Hankook V12s.
As it sits the car is putting down 205hp/235tq at the wheels.

looks like mine. I picked it up in Philly in March 2011, and drove it back to Houston where I lived at the time. Now it is up here Connecticut with about 14K more miles on it.
I have done nothing to it except tint the windows. I have a Corvette that satisfies the mod bug.
