2009 JCW almost all blacked out

I am almost done with my black out mods. Over the past few months I got the matte black door handle covers, front/rear MINI emblem covers and the domed center stack badge in Laser Blue. The domed center stack badge does not match the Pacific Blue color line on my car 100% but its close enough. These items are from Mike at Aesthetic Creations, http://www.aestheticreations.net/index.htm.

It took quite a while after ordering to get the door handle covers but they look like OEM and fit perfectly. You can't tell that its a plastic cover.

I also put on skull and cross bones domed badges on the MINI emblems. It ties my antenna topper in and maybe I will ditch the "onefish2" custom NY plate and do a pirate themed plate like "yo ho ho" or "argghhhh."

I also got matte black head light rings, tail light rings and gas cap from Lyle at Vinyl Styles. Lyle's work is perfect and flawless.

The last things on my to-do list are: the belt line, JCW grill surround, JCW side scuttles, smoke the side reflectors and get new matte black wheels like Rota RBs or get my Challenge wheels powder coated.

All pics that I took today are here:

It was hard to get decent pics with the position of the sun. I am not the best photographer but these are better than nothing.

And finally the domed center stack badge:

Yep. That is the next thing on my list. Sooner or later it will all be blacked out with a matte black theme. Looking to do it all except the Joey mod.

Its looks nothing like the car you sold me 2 years ago... crazy. Well, OK. Its still Laser Blue. I did so much to this car its really amazing. Just a few things left and I am really done. This time, I promise.

The car on the left is my car a few days after I bought it. The BRG JCW on the right is Alan's old JCW. I am still waiting to see his new 2011 JCW.

That looks awesome! Congrats.

Where did ya get the domed center stack badges? They make a great addition to the center stack.

Onefish2, I love it! I am going pretty much the same route, and it has TOTALLY changed the look from when I first saw it (before the dealer added the driving lights). The belt line is next and I will eventually go for the door handles. Lyle at Lylestyles is the source of my blackness.

Hey... I guess the wording in my original post was not clear. I just re-read and and it and I need to fix it. Let me go edit it now.

The domed center stack badge is from Aesthetic Creations as well as the door handle covers and badge covers.

Definitely a big difference. I like your wheels they look great and certainly the blacked out headlight housings complete the look. Nice Ride!! Nice grill badge too. Guess our cars are brothers from another mother or something to that effect.

Lyle is great to work with. I am going to put together a modding/blackout weekend at my house in the NYC area. That is the best way that I can get Lyle to come out to my neck of the woods. I want him to do the rest of my car. If you read this and you are interested in getting some of your chrome blacked out or made body color or if you want any vinyl work like stripes. Send me a PM so I can get Lyle to come out to the NYC area in the spring of 2011.
