Tracking your CM for Canadian buyers
Is there a way to track our CM as it makes the journey from production to delivery? I always read about this American and other buyers being able to do this, but for some reason I don't believe we are able to do this on our own, only by talking to our dealership GM.

I ordered mine on Jan 24th and managed to get nothing out of the MA, in fact he insisted it would be shipped from some other port than Bremehave, that's when I knew I was on my own. I got the production number and VIN and no luck at all. He says it is at the port and has been there for weeks. It is not on the list at all.
I am tapping my fingers impatiently!

I gather it will be shipped by Wallenius Wilhelmsen. Go to their web site, under Customer Tools select "Track and Trace" and enter your VIN into the "Cargo ID" field. If it is in the system, it will show you the ship that it will be on for the voyage.
Here is the link to the schedule:

You can also use this site to track the ship on the voyage across the ocean. Use the "Ship Tracker" and enter the name of the ship.

We just picked our week 4 production Countryman up tonight.

I ordered last Saturday. Today I asked for and recieved a production number from my dealer. But when I plug that into the Owner's Lounge registration screen it does not accept it. Is there a Canada-specific OL I need to access instead of the USA one?
I'm checking back with my dealer to clarify the number is right.
Thanks.

I recieved a production number from my dealer...but on the Mini.ca website I can't see a link to an owners lounge...while it is there for the Miniusa.com website.
My number isn't found on the USA site...is this just too soon after placing my order 10 days ago or do I need to find the Canadian lounge to use the number?
Thanks.
Mike.

Tornado, unfortunately us Canucks do not have an owners lounge. The only way to get production updates is to call your dealer, or email them. After production into the shipping phse you can use Brads links above to see where the car is. MIne is now on the Faust on it's way to Halifax, but it didn't appear online until the ship had been on it's voyage for 3 days!

Good news is the dealer states he expects arrival this week. Not sure if he means arrival at port, the dealer stock yard or his service site.

Here in Canuck-land (that's Canadians in general, not the hockey team), you cannot track the build of the vehicle itself.
Your dealer can tell you the VIN, and when the car has entered and completed production. The dealer can also tell you when the car is waiting at port in Germany for shipping.
With the VIN you can (as described above) check which cargo ship it will be crossing the Atlantic on. Once you have the ship's name, there are a variety of options to track the ship after a quick google search. My favorite was:
http://www.digital-seas.com/
Once there, click on the FleetMon (FM) Desktop demo. This worked great.
After the car arrives in Nova Scotia, you will need a CP Rail business account to track the car's train voyage. Again, your dealer can confirm when the car has left port and the estimated arrival date to the closest railyard.
Happy tracking!
