Wow, I had assumed that they would light the track brightly enough that they would not need to mount lights on the cars.

Makes you wonder which will be more important: who strategically places the lights where they disrupt the aerodynamics the least? Or, which car relies more on its body shape than wings for aerodynamic effect? I'd thought the only difference would be that it would be dark. Interesting race...

McLaren might look a little straight laced with Ron Dennis up front, but they really do have a funny bone.

For fun, I took a ride around the street course a week ago late in the night. It is a course around suntec city and city hall. They were just putting up the barriers and overhead lights, lots of lights. Looks like a tough course. Quite tight.

Wow those are some lights on the McLaren Mercedes.
