mini cooper upgrade

where can someone who doesnt have an S, can purchase an supercharge kit for a standard mini cooper 2002 ?

Unfortunately its not that simple, the S has a lower compression ratio in order to handle the boost and a different transmission. It would be far less expensive to just buy an S than to supercharge a standard Cooper. :???:

Not to mention the fact that you will lose the powertrain portion of your warranty if you add a supercharger or turbocharger to a Cooper but an S, of course, has a full warranty. :smile:

You might try the Editorial Staff @ autoweek. They have a parts S now. Glan the driver is OK.

Don't forget the piston cooling jets, the oil cooler, etc... and how would you even cram it in there?

Great point, from what I understand, the engineers had to relocate the alternator to get the blower to fit in the MCS.
