Possible to manually deploy roll hoops?

Hi All,
This is my first post here! I am a Porschephile and usually **** away my time on sites like Rennlist and Teamspeed!
I am also a track rat.
My wife drives a 2010 Mini S Convertible and instead of my p-car, she wants to try her Mini at an upcoming DE.
I know that the Mini has roll hoops in back that deploy in the event of a rollover. 911 Cabriolets do a similar thing. Sometimes 911 cab owners manually deploy their roll hoops mainly to satisfy the so-called broomstick test.

So,...my Q is: is there a way to crank them up?

PS I did do a search!
