MCS places first (PAX result) at WDC Region Practice Autox

>>Very cool...congrats Brian and you too dpayne1 for having such a fast car...
Actually, what I can't help notice is the spread between Brian's time and DPs. Even if the car made Brian's performance possible, it wasn't the car that was going fast, it was Brian. The results are ample evidence again that the best modification you can make to go faster, is fixing the main nut behind the wheel.
I've been autox'ing for about 8 years. I've had fast cars, and faster cars. I am still trying to match local talent, it's tough! The top drivers can beat me in my MCS with a Yugo! (Almost anyhow.)
Just food for thought when you allocate your go fast budget. Driving school is probably the best bang for the buck, very few drivers are actually getting 90+% of the available performance (myself included).

You make a great point Minae! In fact, I'm heading to Evolution Autox school in VA Beach this weekend for a Phase 1 on Sat, and Phase 2 on Sun - part of my "tuning" budget is driving schools. I went to my first Autox just last August.
One of the reasons I'm co-driving with Brian this year is to learn from him - I rode with him on one of his runs last Sun and he is so much faster than I am -- he is simultaneously aggressive and smooth. When I try to drive real fast, I still tend to over drive with the steering and the throttle.
I was pleased just being 8th out of 19 in STX. Last year I was consistently at the bottom of my run class. My goal this year is just steady improvement in my driving.

>>Right on Brian! I'm with TBD AUGS, where's the tuneing details?
Tuning details.
Quaife LSD
LEDA Coilovers (From Randy) w/24 rebound settings from soft to firm
Madness Rear sway bar
Rogue intake
P&D Front Camber plates
Supertrapp exhaust, 10 discs
15 x 7 Kosei K1's w/BFG g-force TA-KD 225/50/15
(although in the picture, Brian was running his 16x6.5 wheels w/Hoosiers 215/40/16 to see if the car was competitive in DSP. His times were actually faster in STX -- but we had dialed in better rebound settings for the LEDA's by then and he was more familiar with the course)
