I guess if I washed my car more often, it'd solve the drought we're having here in CA.

No kidding, it started to sprinkle on the 4th picture. I knew rain was forcast for later in the day. Now I'll have to wait until next week and try to catch a sunny day.

Waved to two on the way home, blue and white, and a dark sliver/black with a roof rack.

2009 John Cooper Works Sparkling Silver Clubman

Hi Everyone!

My MINI is sailing across the pond right now and due in the Port of NY/NJ on Saturday Jul 26, 2008.

I am very excited about my MINI, but have a question for all Sparkling Silver owners.

The Sparkling Silver looks more like a champagne/beige color to me, so I ordered the Hot Chocolate Lounge leather interior with the Piano Black Trim inside. I've had black leather in my other cars before and wanted to try something different

What is your opinion of this color combo and is there anyone else that has ordered the Sparkling Silver exterior with the Hot Chocolate Lounge Leather interior combination?

Thanks so much...your honesty and reply would be much appreciated.

Does anyone with Sparkling Silver have Wet Okoles? What color combination did you get? Do you like them? I have a black leatherette interior with anthracite dash on a 2008 MCS cabrio and am not sure what color I want to get. TIA.

We plan to pick up ours in about two weeks (or less). We did some searching and came up with a couple of picts when we made the decision, one of the better ones enclosed. We went with the Wood on the dash but this option still has the PB on the doors.

Hi Calicoskies

Thanks for the quick reply! I thought I was the only one that ordered the Sparkling Silver with the Hot Chocolate Lounge Leather...I was a little concerned since I haven't found anyone else (other than you) that ordered this color combo. Do you think the price scared everyone off?

I too went "Way Out" and ordered just about every option available at the time...total price for my MINI is $47,782 (Includes Tax and Destination). I guess I've been MINI-fied!

Thank you for the photo of the interior...looks awesome! I wish you the best of luck with Maggie Mae!

Have a fun time driving it this summer!

Sorry I've been neglecting the SSOC. Not a whole lot happening here anyway from the looks of it, so time for a *bump*

I got the JCW matts with mine, and I thought I wouldn't like them but I really do like them a lot. They were a freebie from the dealer, and if they weren't I don't know if I'd be able to justify the expense, but I am very happy with them. Its not carpet, its not rubber, its a nice combo of something that works very well and looks great; the wavy silver and black checkered flag thingy design. But to address your question: Are they available in black? If so, that's what I'd get.

One of the nicest things about MTTS LA was seeing about 4 other SSs. Was yours one of them? Seems like there should've been more than 4 (and maybe there were and I missed them). 1 had a wooden-looking roof graphic of a British flag and wooden-looking stripes, and another had a vodka bottle advert on it. And then I only saw one or possibly 2 others beside mine. Still nice to see though!

*Submitting Application*

I'm submitting my application to join the club.

I knew right away when I first saw sparkling silver on the "build a mini" page, that it would be my favorite color. I have yet to see one on the street, but when I saw it at the dealership (already ordered by someone else), I knew it was the one.

Now I'm just patiently waiting for mine to be built.

Hi everyone, I'm happy to say that Maggie Mae is comfortably resting in MY DRIVEWAY! We p/u on July 29 and loving every minute! We are driving the long way everywhere we go and most of the time, we are out driving nowhere. This car is so much fun, I've already started configuring our next one (probably 3yrs down the road!)

I admit that while waiting on her to come home, I had some doubts about the color I chose. Not because I hadn't seen it in person and loved it, but sometimes in photos it looked dif than what I remembered. But in person, this color is gorgeous. Its so unusual. It doesn't look like silver to me at all, I see it as a champagne color.

You can see my pics at the website my son built, listed in my sig. I'll work on getting pics to the gallery soon.
