Two pics of mine. Since these were taken I have replaced the front bulbs with silver bulbs that blink orange and I have removed the rear wiper.

Anyone going on MTTS? I’m driving the Atlanta – Knoxville portion.

Anyone have a SS Justacooper white roof (and bonnet stripes would be appreciated) with the JCW grill? Thinking of dropping for it and keeping the chrome trim. Maybe a good photoshop?

Hi all, fairly new and just noticed the SS group... Have a SS/B 07 MCS 6 sp with Tuscan beige/piano black int. Just had the warped hood scoop swapped-out for a CF one at N/C and it blends great with SS, IMO! Pic's later...

Merry Christmas to all!

I'd like to join the club please! I just got my 2008 Sparklin' Silver Mini Coop yesterday for Christmas. I'm so super pumped to finally have an adorable, little mini. It's name is Shimmy. Sadly enough I can't actually see her until I go back home (I'm away at family's for the holidays) but she's waiting in my garage until I get back! <3

Hello all SSMC owners! I recently bought my 6 speed 08 SS MCS! I am loving it. I did however have a mishap already. She was parked in a lot, away from the other cars (so I thought). Anyway, I returned to find the front right bumper, wheel well arch, and black fairing under the bumper cover all scraped up! Damn, what a (insert expletive) drag! My beautiful car damaged! Nobody around to admit to the accident either! I did source a wheel arch and under bumper fairing but can't find the bumper cover. Not in SS anyway. I was wondering if any of you had converted to an aero kit or JWC kit and might have a spare SSS front bumper cover sitting around waiting to be loved? A shot in the dark, but hey, you never know. I took the car to a detailer and he did a pretty good job with it but unfortunately the bumper cover is scratched right through the paint into the plastic. Can anyone help? I'm in NY about 55 miles north of NYC.
Thanks

Wow, I wish I could help. I do have the JCW aero kit on my car, but it was done at the VDC, so they kept the parts they took off. I remember asking if I could get my extra parts but they said it couldn't happen. At the time, I thought it wouldn't be a big deal, but now, obviously, if they would've let me have them then I could've helped you.

I did have some damage (that I caused myself, DOH!) to my front bumper cover and it was redone by a body shop and you can't even tell. Mine was also scratched right through to the plastic too. So it can be repaired satisfactorily. I was concerned about the color match but they did an awesome job. They even let me keep the extra paint they had mixed since they said they doubted they'd have another SS to worry about for a long time.

Anyhow, good luck and keep us updated!

SS Owners - What are the best color wheels for your car

I want to upgrade to 17's or 18's but I can't make up my mind what color would look best on our cars. I think the SS color is the most classy of all the colors.

Bronze - Thinking of a sort of Bronze color but don't know if it would clash.
Black - Not sure about black as it kind of changes the look too sporty maybe.
Silver - Kind of boring but probably a safe bet.
Chrome - Yes but hard to find a good looking set without being too garish.

Could you post pics of your wheels on the car if you think they look fabulous on your car.

PS. The SS color on the tire-rack emulator looks nothing like Sparkling Silver.

If I were you, I'd just scroll through this thread. Many of us have posted pics of our cars/wheels here.

Personally, I went with black and love the look. "Too sporty"? Nah, just the right amount.

Did you use the stock trim and have it painted?

Just noticed this in someone else's signature. While it is true that many of our Sparkling Silver MINIs are shiny, the name is still "Sparkling" and not "Shiny."

They are the Tenzo DC-5, Version 2, as seen here. I did need centering rings, and special lugs, but they are probably more readily available then back when I bought mine (MINI uses an odd size but the local tire shop was able to order some for me).

I probably know the answer to this question but I'll ask anyway.
Sparkling Silver is only available on the Justa. What are the chances that that Mini will produce Sparkling Silver MCS's again? Slim? None? Other?

Some people call the "non-S" version of the MINI a "Justa" as in "it is just a Cooper, not an S."

nam_mini34

I have a 2007 MCS that I just purchased in AZ. I was scrolling through some pictures on Daves gallery and came across some pictures of a sparkling silver MCS. That car has NJ plates and the redwood interior just like mine. I did some research and my car was purchased in NY. I tried to get Dave to respond with no answer. I'm thinking the car he photographed might be my car that I just bought. The picture is nam_mini34 . I was hoping someone here might know the person who took the pictures and could tell me if the owner still owns that car. It seems somewhat ironic that a car from that part of the country has pictures posted from AZ.
