I kinda like riding low to the ground. I'm able to meet all types of BUGS up close and smack on that way!

If there's something that can be done to a MINI that turns the stomachs of the "cool kids" - I've probably at least thought about it... and often done it

Oh yeah - I knew this was out there - took some lookin...

I am not a 'high-rider'. Although I know many who do indeed measure their manhood by how high their truck is from the ground. I know this one spud who has to use a step ladder to get into his truck. His truck ain't that high, he is just one short tater.

Do you need to play banjo and have bad dental work to understand this? It's almost as bad as making a low rider out of a 4X4.

If you get really drunk and fall down, it'll look taller. Does that count?

Ah yes. . . nothing makes Yankees and Californians happier than bashing the South and Southerners. . . .

And you'd think the political correctness that oozes from their regions of the country would make them think twice before lumping millions of people into an old and tired stereotype. . . . :impatient :impatient :impatient

Was not intended as a slight on the south, and find your belief it was kind of intriguing. It was a comment upon the mindset of those that high ride and low ride and had nothing to do with the "south".

Yikes, sndwave. I find comfort in knowing that the only thing Mini about that mess is the body shell, and it is being stored for the future way up high off the ground. When the joke gets old, maybe somebody can use it to make another classic whole.

Well it would certainly help getting around during the winter . 6" ice ruts are not a MINI's best friend (speaking from experience) .

I almost bought a classic Mini that was sitting on a Suzuki Samari platform several years ago. But the beer wore off.

This is just my opinion, but why would we want to "Monster Truck" our MINIs?

Of course, we wouldn't want to be outdone by a Smart Car, would we?

Some of these pictures remind me of a computer sim I played years ago. We had fun with wheels and such on occassion.

Sorry to get OT, but SB, what wheels do you have? Your signature suggests that you have PIAA FR-S wheels, but there are different ones in your gallery...

Slightly OT and maybe the wrong place to ask but what is the name for the super large wheels-like 30's on old Chevy's or Ford's--is it dunks or donks or something like that? I had it mentioned on a TV show but didn't catch the name. Interesting trend but it got to leave you with a horrible turning radius.

Donks - that's what my MINI is supposed to be in the post above - a donk.
