Sticker Dilemma.

The Stiker I'm talking about is the one warning you not to use elecronic devices and not to lock the car with the fob from the inside, its in the upper left hand section of the windscreen.

My 02 had it and I just left it there, but in my 07 it's badly placed; it has a little air bump and the two sides are peeling.

Should I just peel it off? Did you all peel yours off?

Im conflicted. Half wants to peel it off and half wants to keep it on.

Mine was gone before I drove off the dealers lot.

I left that, the dealer tattoo emblems and the dealer license plate frames on the floor of the service dept. when I took delivery.

No don't peel it off, cut it in half and leave half on, take half off. That way you are only half right and half wrong, making you whole again. Feel better now?

I never saw that sticker. I'd say take it off. You don't need the extra weight. But, I thought the MINI won't let you lock the car from outside if the fob is in it. Actually, I know that is the case, as I accidentally left it on the seat once.

Ok Thanks for the advice, it's coming off.

Sorry LynnEl what I ment was it says don't lock the doors with the fob if anyone is inside, they won't be able to open the doors if you do.

I believe this only works with the convenience package as it senses the FOB inside the vehicle, you don't even have to insert it into the dash to start it. I think it is still possible to lock the FOB inside without the convenience package.

Actually, you're only half right, because half would be left.

must... kill... the... bubble...

can't leave those peeling ends on there. they are screaming to be tugged.

you can't resist.

it will drive you crazy.

it will wake you up at night.

one day you will lift the toilet lid, and the sticker will be floating around, corners peeled up and a big smiley bubble in the middle.

mmmmm.... OCD. embrace it

Funny. That's exactly what happened to me. I held out for a month, then when I had some Windex wipes handy, I peeled it off. Now I can finally get a good night's rest.

Be sure to disconnect the negative (-) terminal on the battery before removing that sticker - you do realize that if you peel that sticker off you need to reprogram the keyfob, right? Certain functions of the keyfob cease to be available unless you reprogram the fob and the body function computer located beneath the passenger seat...

(and when your butt is in the air while your head's under the seat... WHACK!)

This is nothing ten or fifteen years of therapy can't fix
