50,000 miles. :D
Well, yesterday while on my way to do some errands I hit the 50k mile mark.
It was June 29, 2006 when I got Egan and had just under 25k miles on it. Two years and 25k miles later, 50k miles has been broken. I'll say a lot has happened in the past two years, but definitely not enough.
My next objective is to hit 100,000 miles which will be quite a while from now. No matter how long it takes, I'm not giving up my MINI anytime soon.

And it's actually only ASC I have, not DSC. Although, I still find ASC instrusive at times as well. Really robs the power from you if you really want to take off or just get moving in icy conditions. I'd like to get a LSD installed in the near future.

These days, I change my own oil, check the tires, brakes, faults in the codes, and other things.
To answer your question though, thing is I did not get the extended maintence warranty, so it ended @ 36k miles. I know with the extended warranty is lasts until 50k miles. I think you should get your MINI checked out one last time and then that's taken care of.
For the past month, I've been busy is getting new parts for the MINI. I made a thread in the Wheels/Tires forum where I got new OEM rotors (front & back) Hawk HPS pads, new brake sensors, and new run-flat tires. (because one of my old tires blew on the interstate and they were not run-flats)
Doing all these things now has made me realize that I can do this myself and it makes me feel more proud in the end.

I am at 45,500 right now so at my current rate of driving I should be at 50K in about 3-4 months. Picked up my 2005 R53 S brand new (7 miles on the odo) on March 20th, 2005. My goal is to put at least 150K-200K on this wonderful car.
Oh and I did get MINI's 6 year/100K mile extended scheduled service contract. It has already paid itself on the last 2 service pit stops. Highly recommended if you plan to stack up the miles on your car post-warranty.

My 05 MCS is 825 miles away from the big "50". I fretted about extended warrenties and the extended service plan. After consulting with the breakfast gang at the bagel shop and the lunch crowd at the pizzaria I opted for the extended service plan. The cost justified itself but the cost of extended warrenties did not. (Knock onwood) , my MCS has been trouble free todate. There is no reason to believe that it won't go the distance. Besides everthing expensive goes after the 100,000 mark anyway.
