Count me in

I'm an Agnostic/Dyslexic/Insomniac, which keeps lying awake at night wondering if there really is a Dog.

BTW, I love the "SHAM" and the "MINI (HALO) is my religion". You have a real talent. If I were to vote I'd go with SHAM with the scarlet A. It may be a little provocative, but not to the point of being antagonistic which makes it the perfect acronym. In fact the Society should be SHAM and "MINI is my Religion" our creed.

Where I live, that SHAM sticker would get my Mini vandalized. Fundies would find it very, very provocative.

You may be right, and I just saw your HAMO which is pretty darn good as well, but might draw the wrath of some vindictive HAMOphobes as well.

Unfortunately, I'd have to say likewise here.

Turned it around for left hand drive.

The extraneous line, I'll get rid of later.

I find Christopher Hitchens to be that way, but Harris and especially Dawkins aren't that militant.

Smart though.

I agree but I do like it. I wouldn't put anything too "in your face" on my MINI for fear of retaliation but again that is just me. I would prefer something that shines a light on the car more than the idea of not being religious so to speak. After all, it was the car that brought us all together brothers and sisters.

Maybe we could do two so people can pick what suits their area and taste best.

I like "Mini is my religion" best so far but I also liked the evolution concept with the cars and ape men. Maybe three cars with one ape man under it each. SO...SUV with an ape under. Mid-size car with half ape under. Mini with man under it. Make sense? Nice and clean and simple. It references both our reasons for gathering and even fundies would laugh at it because it kinda makes fun of evolution a bit too but it still highlights the Mini Cooper.

That said, I like how the guy is finally getting into the MINI after evolving! Pretty cool work there!

Just some thoughts. I wish I had the skill to help with designs.

2 questions:

1) Is the scarlet A well-enough known that a sticker/badge that simply said "SHAM" (no explanation on the sticker/badge) would result in vandalism?

2) Would people be more interested in a grille badge or a bumper/inside the window sticker? Some designs - like "MINI is my religion" or "SHAM" - would work well for each but others - specifically the evolution one - would require more of a rectangle shape to be effective

I doubt it. This thread is the first time I've heard of it. I think that most people, if it means anything to them, would think of it as a reference to the Scarlet Letter and wonder why someone would advertise their adultery on their car.

Hee hee.

If you leave off the explanation it's not "provocative" at all BUT it also then becomes somewhat meaningless to all but the driver.

Then what if there were 3 options?

1:

2:

and 3:

My guess is anyone you'd want to know about the cause would be curious enough to ask you personally what "SHAM" stood for anyways.

And again, I can't stress this enough: If you suck at graphic design less than me please help! I'll be the first to admit that all 3 of these (but especially the badge design) are seriously lacking something.

Personally, I would go for this idea, but in simple black and white and without any of the text. Then, I think it would look great as a grill badge, IMO.

I think you are doing a great job! Simple and to the point!

I still say checker board that "M" in the Mini Religion badge and it will add some punch to the design. Or maybe add some checker boarding under the words. I'm sorry, I like checker boarding, lol.

I don't have a badge holder yet but I would get one for the back license plate after this thread!!! I would also be interested in a vinyl sticker. Either or.

+1 Simple is better for both the color and the design.

Alright one more addition and then I'm off to bed...

Obviously this one could also include an explanation of the acronym if desired I'm just tired of wrestling with photoshop for the night....looks like I know what I'm doing this weekend though
