Well, haven't done it yet, but I really LOVE the black wheels!!! Took my MINI off the lot, has the 5 star blaster alloy whhels, 16". If I go thru MINI and get the 17" black wheels, can I roll the cost into my financing, even though I adopted almost 4 mos. ago???

Dont want to paint, worried about chipping, etc. Hubby says, not a bad idea, as then I would have 2 sets of tires....ooooo really LOVE the look, but cant justify the expense...

I think you'd find a much better deal on wheels if you shop sites like tirerack.com and the like.

Dealers are way over priced when it comes to wheels!! Check out TireRack, but if you are wondering what/if a Wheel will look G@@D on your MINI...do what I did.

1) Take a side view pic. of your MINI
2) Go to WheelsNext Website
3) Upload a pic. of your MINI
4) Search 'til your Hearts content
5) Find the wheels you WANT
6) Find the $$ you are willing to pay and
7) GO FOR IT!!
Check out Molly's New Wheels in my Garage!!
G@@D Luck!!

*breathing slowly and purposefully*

someone.
hit.
my.
car.

It was parallel parked earlier
and i didn't notice at first because i was getting out of the street into the car
but my drivers side bumper is down and inch from the body and my hood has a quarter inch gap on the drivers side corner closest to the windshield

i just got it

and there is additional damage between when i looked at it the first time and when i bought it on the back and i totally wasn't paying attention and i had to get the door actuator fixed for 400 and my key is dying which is 200 and i just spent 400 for tires on the 3000 car i am trying to sell

i wanted to get cupholders and stripes not a 500 insurance deductable

this is crap

i can't even see an impact point. my plate is slightly bent on the corner but that pretty much means that they slowly backed into it and JUST KEPT BACKING TILL IT BENT

Drove mine 500mi. thru the Bear Tooth Mtns, Yellowstone and Grand Tetons NP. Rain, sleet and snow the whole way and never a wriggle, but near froze my butt off every time I stopped for pics. If you want to know what the Grand Tetons looked like, hold a piece of paper in front of your face, LoL. Off to Bryce and Zion tomorrow!

Not quite "today", but had my HL/TL rings vinyl wrapped by Lyle first day at AMVIV8 (pics taken in garage right afterwards).

Also had WMW do a little settings adjustments in the vehicle software...enabled auto up windows, disabled TPMS and disabled seat belt gong.

I'm thinking of doing CR via Lyle, too. How's the color match? It could just be the pictures, but the vinyl looks to be a little lighter than the paint.

Most definitely! The drive home was frustrating, since it was rush hour and lots of it was spent in 1st and 2nd gear. This morning I had a chance to drive it without much traffic to get in the way. Wow! What a difference!

It is a bit lighter, but not by much. I thought it was going to bother me that it isn't a perfect match to the paint, but it doesn't (and I am very **** about aesthetic perfection).

It's a look that, although it isn't a 100% match, it's much better than the chrome. And I didn't want to do black (even though I like blackout) because I didn't want to give it a raccoon look. I was out to minimize the size of the lights, not draw attention to them.

I drove it around some lady in oncoming traffic that whipped a left turn right in front of me while I was going 40+mph following a car a few car lengths in front of me. I have no idea what she was thinking. I yanked the wheel HARD, sending white smoke up, and barely missed her rear end by 2 inches. I thought for sure I was going to hit her. The MINI handled it like a champ! =]

Yeah, I'm a little leery of the raccoon effect. I, too, am a perfectionist about this kind of thing though, so I'll have to see red on red in the wild before I make my move. I may try to use some electrical tape and squint my eyes a bit see if black works for me, though. I just might like it, since I've got the black xenon housings.

I picked mine up from the dealer today after fixing a windshield wiper hose issue.

Had a 2011 Countryman S auto, as a loaner and wasn't too bad. I just missed my manual.

Now I think black with the black Xenons would look good. Black rings on the black xenons would blend it, instead of having chrome rings separating black and red....but just my opinion.

I even knocked down the brightness of my chrome Xenons when I applied a very light tinted application of Laminx. Wished those black Xenons were available when I ordered my 2010, because I would've bought em!

I'm so indecisive about this stuff... it'll take me awhile to get figured out. Black housings is one of several reasons I decided to go all-out and do a factory order.
